Our first Grillo division matchup pits long-time captain and franchise leader Nolan against Bernie Nicholls, a great NHLer for a long time who wound down his career in San Jose during the team's burgeoning playoff years, providing veteran leadership and mentoring to what was a young, improving team.

@Nem: PM notifications still don't seem to be working right. I sent you a new one.
Thereís a lot of things wrong with this country, but one of the few things still right with it is that a man can steer clear of the organized ******** if he really wants to. Itís a goddamned luxury, and if I were you, Iíd take advantage of it while you can.

You know, the easy pick is Nolan, but I always did (and really have) liked Nicholls. He's on the poster from '97(or so) that still hangs in my old room at my parents house. Nolan has enough damn fan boys, go Bernie!
Nolan - At one Sharksfest, he refused to sign a Bauer stick THAT I ACTUALLY BOUGHT FROM THE SHARKS STORE (WTF?) for my wife. Waited in that horrific long line when the signings were up in the upper bowl. Fortunately, the store took it back after I told them the story as their policy is to not take back equipment. Huge thumbs down.
Nicholls - Went to his signing at the old Kmart on the east side (no longer there). We were the only people there as I wanted to get my game warn jersey signed. We hung out there with him chatting and stuff with my wife and daughter. Awesome guy. He signed a bunch of those "face on a stick" for us as he didn't have player photos with him. I don't think anyone else showed up during the last hour. We ended walking out with him and funny thing, we ended parking right next to his black Porsche.
