We better take Grimaldi if he is still up there when we pick, he is easily the best player available at our picks. Top 10 offensive talent and the only reason he has dropped is his size.

Percy/Sproul should be available at 39.... I'd be cool with:

25: Grimaldi
30: Miller
39: Sproul/Percy

No way Leafs take ROCCO GRIMALDI if JT MILLER is available. Great speed and size on Miller.

Same here. I think percy might be available at 39, but you don't know with this kind of draft.

In a vacuum he's a fine player, but not on this team with our top 6. We're tiny upfront as is. Nobody will ever mistake Kessel, Grabo, Mac or Kadri for beasts.

Same here. He's really a great player. I'd say he's got top 15 talent and he really goes all out every day. I would not be dissapointed with this pick, unless we pick Percy at 30 like we did in the mock. If we pick a risky forward like Grimaldi with that pick I'd be hoping they pick Miller with the 30 pick.

I'm still hoping that Biggs falls to 25.

25: Biggs
29: Puempel/Jenner
39: Percy...or trade up to 33/34 to grab him

I can guarantee that if Grimaldi is available at 25, Burke will take him. He won't be though.

So Colorado would have...

1. Stastny
2. Duchene
3. RNH
4. Zibanejad
5. O'Reilly
6. Hishon

Jebus!

If Puempel is still available at 25 i say we pick him there, I don't expect him to fall all the way to 30.

Well thats about 3 top 6 centers too many so they would have to deal some for wingers. I don't see Colorado drafting centers at all with #2 and #11. They need wingers most. One d-man could help but they have an underrated D pool.

The closer it gets to the draft, the more I think Puempel will get picked at 18-20. If he survives that I'd feel a lot better.

As for the mock, it's a no-brainer at 25 to pick Siemens there. And then at 30 either Jenner or Miller who missed the 1st round altogether. I feel like Percy could drop to 39, and if not, there are still a ton of guys who I would have no problem drafting in that spot.

If they get RNH, I see no chance they take Zibanejad with Beaulieu and Oleksiak still on the board.

....Unless they are planning on trading one of their centres to a team in need

By the time he would potentially make our team, the top 6 would change quite a bit as well.
