What do you guys think? I personally want no part of Laich. Solid player but he is pretty much all that we already have and dont need.

I don't want him, but depending on how much he signs for, I wouldn't really have a problem.

I really like his style, but he will be severely overpaid... my guess around $4m when he should get no more than 2.8-3.

1. Rangers interest does not surprise me in the least

2. It is incarcerated Bob.

3. A Push doesnt necessarily mean we will sign him, he may be a Richards backup plan

4.Would be tough to fit both he and Richards

exactly my thoughts. He is a good player, but IMO his stats are inflated playing with that caps team, and if I remember correctly he does get some PP time. He will definitely get around the 3.5-4 Mil range and that should be out of the question for us.

Would be redundant on this roster, especially if we re-sign Fedotenko.

Stay away.

Note to Glen Sather: Just because someone plays well against you in a playoff series, doesn't mean you should sign him...

Only way i see us going for him is if we lose out on Richards. Sign him for top 9 C depth and than package one of Stepan/Anisimov during the season when we can use Drurys LTIR money for a legitimate first line center. Hopefully Richards signs here instead.

Clearly what this team needs is a 2nd line, 55 point center. Seriously, Richards or nothing.

I don't see the point. He's not a #1, and one could argue he's not even a #2. Then again, it's Incarcerated Bob. I put more stock in Ek.

He's due for a big pay day and pretty much brings what we have a lot of. If we didn't have guys like him already I'd be more intrigued, but at his price, he doesn't bring what we need. We need high end scoring and a veteran third pairing d-man, IMO.

Yeah, Laich also has had his recent success largely in part because he plays on a team with Ovie, Semin, Backstrom, Green and so many other offensive threats. Between playing WITH them and not being a key threat people focus on, he has all kinds of space that he wouldn't have here.

I agree, just more of what we don't need and already have.

And since most here don't want him, you all know what Sather is going to do......

55 points is being generous too. Look at the talent he had around him in WSH.

My guess? Probably in the area of around $3M. I think I heard the Flyers are very intently trying to retain him, though.

Stuff like this scares the crap out of me because you just know Sather is dumb enough for it to be possible.

Exactly what we DON'T need. Stay the hell away. His stats would deflate horribly on this roster.
