Uhm... Draft day is tomorrow. It's a regular press conference to speak draft, contract negociations, and plans for July 1st.

That being said... Gauthier never says anything of value to the media. For all he says, we could've hired a better GM even if he speaks English, and taught him the same 3 quotes in French.

I bet it's just a pre dratf presser... He'll probably say that discussions with Marov are going well and that he will see what else is available come July 1st. He will probably add that the draft is an inexact science and that he has full trust in the scouting team. A whole bunch of words to basically say nothing. Typical Goat presser...

Because it's an annual presser that the Habs management does year in and year out. But feel free to speculate all day long if you feel like doing so...

this was announced at the beginning of the week.
Nothing new, but it was also speculated that he will be meeting with Meehan today, so at worst their should be some Markov news.

LOL at people looking for any excuse to take a jab at Gauthier.

His past aside, he hasn't done anything as a hab GM to merit that type of bashing. It's really laughable how around here people will look for any reason to bash JM, PG, when in reality they and even Gainey have been a big part of this teams success.

Sure mistakes were made, most GM's make a mistake here or there. Wake up, it isn't always going to be win/win or even just win.

Very doubtful that he's announcing the signing of Markov. MAGodin tweeted yesterday that PG plans on meeting with the Markov camp on Thursday (today).

My best guess is that it's the pre-draft press conference.

I'm excited...

Not because I think PG will say anything of interest, but because the GM's annual draft eve presser is like the Christmas Eve of the draft. Let the offseason madness begin!

I for one, enjoy having a GM that doesn't go running around 4x a week telling the media how good he is and what he plans to do (cough..Burke...cough).

I like how our management runs a tight ship. We don't need PG telling everyone all of his ideas and plans. When we are meant to find out, we will find out. Bottom line.

I don't even pay attention to Burke anymore he blows so much hot air to the media. When PG speaks, you listen. Much like was the case with Mr. Gainey.

Good evening everyone, my name is Pierre Gauthier. I like watching movies with a big bag of popcorn. I also like to walk my dog in the park near my home. My dog's name is Youfi and I like him very much. That's about it for today. Oh! I almost forgot. We signed Mathieu Darche last week. Thank you.

To be fair, Burke is only spitting out what the Toronto media wants to hear. He was much more reserved in Anaheim and Vancouver.
