There are 8 Friday home games 9 Saturday home games and 3 Sunday home games, which should obviously draw well so they probably scheduled the Ranger home games to get a few more good weekday crowds

My take on the home schedule:

I like:
Lots of weekend afternoon games.
Home opener on a Saturday night, lots of time to pregame for all fans.
Vancouver at home to boo Luongo.
Rags home games on Tuesday nights, no need to put them on weekends.
It seems to be a more fan friendly schedule this season.
No home games on consecutive days this year like in the past 3 seasons.
Game on St Patty's Day

Dislike:
Another afternoon Columbus Day game on Monday October 10 vs Carolina, the building will be empty and devoid of an energy just like this past season vs Pittsburgh on the same day. A lesson was not learned.
Both Buffalo games are midweek, I like it when we play them on a weekend when lots of their fans come down, they are quite funny.

Other notes:
If there is a NFL season it looks like we play on Super Bowl Sunday Feb 5 vs Pittsburgh at 1pm.

Not a single Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun home and home stand. That sucks for visitors out of town like me.

Thanksgiving air travel? NO WAY.

Plus I don't want to see the same team when that team is the Islanders. I need a 2 home game weekend or an away at the Rangers so I can just take the train in.

the Home and Home vs. the Peg is home here then away at Pitt - that doesn't do me any good flying into NJ. Like I said - the Pens and Rangers in March looks like the best games to me.
