I was so close to driving to nyc tonight to see my brother last minute, but the thought of driving at the end of this week after working today would be too much.

Instead of catching the draft at 2am on his dvr, I'll be setting up a bunker and watching it in real time. The workday can't end quickly enough!

Of course I am working today and tomorrow. Thanks for the updates.

Hoping Regehr accepts his trade before the draft and we package sekera or butler and our pick to move up and select a better center.

I will be watching the draft with a gang of Hab fans. It's inevitable considering I live in the most French Canadian community in Canada perhaps West of Quebec. Let's all hope that if we don't move the pick, we steal their guy!

You can be assured they're drafting the next Gretzky no matter whom they take. Well... at least... according to them.

Imagine if that big meanie Regehr comes to Buffalo too.

This is like my Stanley Cup (ok, maybe not quite-I'd still rather see Buffalo win a cup). I'm so excited. I count down to this day 364 days in advance. I wish I could record the draft (I never found a place to buy it- last one I could record was 09 and then my VCR ate the tape immediately). If anyone knows anywhere I can buy round 1 of drafts, please let me know.

When I was working in LI, I drove all the way back to NY and watched the draft on line from one of those free WIFI highway places. Last year, I wrote down the times everyone was drafted (I worked nights so I didn't get to see the Nelson pick).

I hope we pick in round 1 but I'd be ok trading it (rather this year than 2012 unless someone really falls) for Regehr. There is something about seeing 17-18 year olds put on jerseys and be really excited to be a part of a new organization that makes me warm and fuzzy, lol.

Ugh, putting up with Pierre McGuire for a couple of hours is unappealing.

The draft makes me feel old. These players are all little, skinny children. I still feel young at 28, but in hockey years, I'd be in my prime if not past it. In tennis years, they'd have taken me out back and shot me.

The draft is on Versus (using TSN's feed), FWIW.

To all of our European posters... you guys are nuts. And I mean that in the best possible way.

Gary pulling a page out of the Nicklas Pickless thing by coming up with kids to keep from getting boo'd.

So Bettman even gets some boos when introduced with the family of a deceased man. That's horribly depressing and yet slightly funny.
