I'm still holding my breath.... on what we gave up.

I think getting Regehr is great for Myers, and great for the attempt to sign Richards... but he is NOT who he was 2-3 years ago.

I really... really hope this is Rivet 2.0 (only time will tell)

(honest: I didn't watch a lot of Calgary last year)

I am very cautious on my opinion on this until I see the return. I'm afraid I'm going to be upset with what we give up if it happens. If the trade includes Adam+, Kassian+ or God forbid Ennis then I think it's going to be a loss for us. I would have no problems at all moving Foligno and / or one of our plethora of available defensemen.

Everything I've heard from Calgary fans is that last year was one of his best. From what I can gather, most fans weren't too keen on giving him up for anything less than an overpayment.

I'm so damn afraid right now. Not Ennis, Adam, McNabb, Kassian, Gerbe, Foligno, Pysyk please...

Oh and not a 1st please. I was planning on watching the draft with people tomorrow, don't trade the pick and ruin my plans.

I would think a player + 1st would be a tad steep to pay.

My guess is a player + 3rd or later.

I'm going to curse Darcy, if he trades a 21-yr old future 1st line winger for a 30 yr old #2 d-man...

Would hurt but worth it. Weber is going to be a good defenseman, but he doesn't have enough hockey instincts to be a top guy.

Either Weber or Butler+. I don't see Darcy getting rid of Ennis, Adam or Kassian.

yes, we can improve the team by trading all of our scraps!!!!

If it's Adam straight up... Im fine with it. I hope we keep our 1st.

Weber+2nd/3rd would be a steep price to pay, but it's better than Adam+1st. I'd hate to see him leave though, he's one of my favorite players.

I'm very afraid...this could be a lopsided trade. As in, the Flames being clear winners in the trade. Jeez Darcy, I know you're criticized for sitting on your hands in the off-season, but even that is better than getting hosed. I live in Hartford, the trades I've seen the Whalers do when they were here...

Adam alone is fine with me. McNabb or Foligno could be part of a package. No Ennis, Kassian, Pysyk, or #16 IMO.

I think this might be the case. Have a feeling it might be Foligno.

There's no source to it, so I'd lend no credibility to it until something more official comes out.

Agreed.

Weber/Gragnani would be an interesting thought. I don't want either to leave but we've just got so many people on the backend.

Have to agree with you there.

To me, this seems to be a cap clearing move for Calgary. I'd assume they would want a defenseman they could plug in that's a lesser Regehr coming back, and Weber would fit that role better than Butler or Reggie.

Adam and our 1st would hurt a LOT. I would give up one of either in a package (Adam + 3rd, or maybe Butler + 1st), but both would absolutely kill our center pipeline.

Still, I am freaking excited!! This would make our defense a TON better.

Same here. Anticipation changed to tension.
