Regehr Traded?

Per Darren Dreger:
Quote:
Sources say Robyn Regehr has been asked to waive his no-move clause and accept a trade to the Buffalo Sabres. Details to follow.

Very interesting, I wonder if it involves picks and prospects or a big name. Feaster might be wanting to fill Regehrs spot with a UFA?

If Feaster were to pull this off, I think it'll probably be the defining moment of his tenure in Calgary.

Not to say it'll be a short one.

That actually wouldn't be a bad deal at all.

If that is the case, does anyone else think that Cgy might package the 13th & 16th overall picks to trade up in the draft?

X 2!!!!!!!!! need cap space, get rid of Kotalik/ Hagman.
I understand why, but for those players who take a home town discount only to be asked to move is not classy move by the organization!

Regehr was told of the deal yesterday, but hasn't been given a deadline, or time frame as to when Buffalo needs an answer. He's absorbing now

I would keep them both and draft two decent players. Their is not a big discrepancie after the top 5 players therefore I don't think its worth it.

I think you guys are dreaming if this is the return for Regehr. He's good and all. But I'm not sure how you could trade him and his cap hit for the 16th alone...let alone throwing in Luke Adam. But what do I know.

Just saying what a Buffalo fan posted, its a good return for Calgary but I wouldn't say we need to dream about a return like that.

Yeah, it's more than a nice package IMO (that's what she said). Calgary would for sure be sending something else along with Regehr.

You have to think that the Sabres would have to give up a bit of cap, but having Luke Adam come back the other way would be stellar for the organization.

I would think the deal would be something along the lines of:

Mike Weber
Jocehn Hecht

Someone explain to me why Buffalo would need to send back salary? They are not exactly a cap team.

God I don't want to see Regehr go! But I agree, the Luke Adam and 16th package is quite good, it is also about what you would think his value should be around. I have a hard time thinking that Buffalo would trade Adam, he's really their only good centre prospect. Maybe Kassian is on his way here?

And LOL at the poster saying Regehr alone is not worth the 16th The chances of the 16th pick in this draft ending up being as good as Regehr are not great. I think he is easily worth that package.
