Wow wtf is Philly doing? Trading away their captain and a promising young 35+ goal scorer in Carter.

This is good for the Bruins.

Done deal, and it's a blockbuster. Phi trades captain Mike Richards to LA for Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds.

WOW! Wasn't this board trashing someone who made this same offer for Krejci, and then LA goes out and gets an even better player for it?!

I'm glad Richards is out of Philly, he was their best and most dangerous player, but they get two guys coming back who are skilled and tough as hell...

Amazing day for the Flyers getting rid of 2 excellent players.

They will get Brad Richards I would imagine.

Good news for us, but you never know, they are building for the future.

Philly still has barely any cap room. 13 million to sign Simmonds and Voracek and Bryzgalov

Not to mention Ville Leino is a UFA..and fill other spots.. they will be right against the cap still... think brian burke is on the phone offering every prospect in the maple leafs system to paul holmgren right now for schenn.

going back to the fights between richards and pronger... lots of rumors out of philly that their young guys were too much into partying

no doubt about it the team has some talent... but i think they felt their chemistry was crap and needed a change.

the guys coming in are blueblood prospects. the cap hit is more affordable and managable. i think philly did just fine even if they did loose the most talented player in the deal.

4 great assets for 2 that needed a change of scenery and cap space too

Awesome. I hate Mike Richards, talented and dirty, bad combo.

The Bruins players are safer as a result of this trade.

yup cant say gonna be worried about philly doing much of anything over the next couple years. Cant believe a team with probably ONE SINGLE piece away from a cup blows it up. WOW... gonna be heat over this one if philly tanks next year...

Briere and Giroux aren't the two biggest C's in the league. I'm playing very physical against them next year.
