Played with Bourque. Rangers saw a ton of him.

you all keep saying "a gift to the Whale, etc..." Why can't he compete to make the Rangers out of camp? I think he'd have a shot

Welp..Sather's Plan B in case Richards doesn't come is this guy centering Gabby and Zuc

But seriously, let's see what he got. Once in a blue moon with the Rangers (Pavelich and Ridley) these random skilled centers turn out to be pretty darn good.

Hey; at least Christian Thomas now has a center for Traverse City!!!!!!

Funny..

Although, Audy-Marchessault is only one more syllable than Zuccarello...

But seriously those are impressive numbers
Another "quality" post.

As for this kid. The numbers seem VERY good. I dont mind if his is smaller. Seriously, I think people put too much stock on height/weight. There are a few very small players in this league who have been dynomite for their teams and we would kill to get.

So I dont mind a low risk/high reward type of small player that can pot the goal.

We NEED goal scorers. I dont care if its a smurf/average size/giant putting the puck in the net. As long as the puck gets IN the net I am fine with a alien putting the puck in. lol

His name just gives me a good vibe that he's gonna be a good player. Marchessault just has a nice ring to it

I agree. With our forward depth it's likely he will be sacrificially fed to Brodeur.

He's pretty small. Appetizer maybe?

Even Quebec's announcer kept it short. He always said John Audy-Marchessault.

Or you can call him JAM.

Probably won't amount to much at the NHL level, but always good to add a talented guy to the system.

ha, and when we win the Cup, the new trend for the year will be skilled speedy forwards. "Skilled speedy forwards win Stanley Cups!"

Those numbers ain't bad. The Q's a pretty high scoring league without the physical roughness of the W or O, but it's worth seeing what he can amount to. I like the moxy in saying he can prove himself in his first year out of juniors. Nothing wrong with these signings, keep them coming.

is this an NHL signing or an AHL signing??

i cant read french but it sounds like he signed with the Pack..

Âgé de 20 ans, Audy-Marchessault a signé un contrat d’un an à deux volets avec le Wolf Pack de Hartford, le club-école de la formation new-yorkaise dans la Ligue américaine.

Might as well...if anything they gotta keep the Whale competitive but if he pushes people in camp then cool with me.

That would make more sense to me. If he signed with the Rangers, he would be subject to the entry level system and would have to sign a 3 year deal, since he's only 20.
