That's also 3 players, of course they should add up to more than Carter. As long as it's not double or triple, they're fine.

I do not agree with this, the flyers need to resign 4 RFA's and need a 7th D man. Walker makes a lot to be a 7th defenseman.

Yeah, I don't think so. Each one of those is off by about a million.

it is if you really like Versteeg. Tallon has proved that a couple times (the trade, overpaying him).

Your severely under estimating what Simmonds, Voracek, Leino, and Richards will be getting. Your probably off by a combined $2 to $3 million at a minimum.

Not to mention with that roster your over the cap by $500k.

I'm really excited to see how Philly does next year. If they do well, Holmgren will be considered a God. If they don't, they'd probably want his head on a platter.

Flyers don't have to trade Versteeg. You can switch out Laich with Schenn if you like.

I think that the EA's NHL series has infected Philly.

Versteeg is gonna get traded with a 3rd rounder for something stupid like 15th overall and then they're gonna pack 15th and Carle for like 9th overall and then they'll deal 9th and 8th and JVR for 2nd overall to draft Larsson and Kane.

Thanks, I try. You can distribute that 2 mil left over to leino or voracek to make their contracts more fair. This is if Versteeg goes as rumored. If we land Landerskog or Larsson we won in these trades big time.

not next year, but that lineup looks to be strong for the next 5-6 years easy. this seems to have been a mini rebuild. just to trade top assets for youth and future

No its not. Pronger, Bryz, and Timmonen don't have that long. This roster extends the cup window by 1 year in my opinion past this year into next.

I was a little confused today until I found out that Paul Holmgren and Mike Holmgren changed GM spots today....
