Rosie signed 1yr 600k
TSNBobMcKenzie Bob McKenzie
Jay Rosehill's 1 yr deal with TOR worth $600K. Appears to be one-way deal. Jamie McGinn's 1 yr-deal (two-way) with SJ is $680K over $105.

I think it's a decent deal.

Huge pay day for the guy. Imagine you're just a lunch-pail guy and you've been paying your dues in the AHL making $80k per year, and wop all of a sudden you're guaranteed a cool 600k in one year. Congrats to Rosehill.

1 way??? very interesting...either we have our 13th forward or Colton is done....
Anyway, glad to see him back. That guy goes all out every shift looking to put someone through the boards.

Congrats to Rosie on getting a 1 way deal. Look forward to seeing more of him on the Leafs.

He was great for the Marlies. The line of Rosehill - Boyce - Scott was one of the better ones all year. When he was called-up, it really hurt the team.
He was on his way to decent career highs in the AHL before calling up.
Could be an insurance in case Colten Orr can't go, or something unforeseen happens with him.

One way contract, still no word on how Colton's doing, no room for two fighter's. Doesn't sound like Colton will be back.
Just speculation though.

You CAN have a 23 man roster... 14 forwards. Good signing. Toughness is needed against some teams.

Orr was cleared to play but Burke gave him the rest of the season + offseason to rest (and be cautious). He will be back.

He's a 4th line enforcer/grinder.
If you expecting him to dangle defensemen and go top self on goalies your probably going to be disappointed.

That's good new's than. I thought I remember hearing him being cleared, but for some reason I thought there was a set back or something. Good on the Leafs on letting him get healthy and take their time.
Anyways, Rosie is a great sandpaper player who's intimidating every shift and looks to make something happen. This is a great signing.

Could be insurance in case Orr can't go (for whatever reason).
Could be a way of the Leafs rewarding him if he plays in the AHL (he'll get paid 600k, a raise from his 80k a year ago).

I would argue and say that 1 way contract is a bad idea but it's not like anyone will take him on waivers anyways.

I don't think that a 1 way contract is the best for the team, but he did earn that right.
A 4th line player with another 1 year contract to prove himself, seems respectable.
Good job Rosie!
