Since we are one of the frontrunners for this Crosby fella , I thought I would update his stats every once in a while.

He turned 16 two months ago and he currently is at the top of the leaderboard (2nd overall) with 26 (14+12) points in 12 games. The leader has 28 points in 16 games.

If you figured he's going to keep up the pace, he'll have approximately 156 (84+72) points. For reference, back in the day, Lemieux had 96 (30+66) points in his rookie season in the Q.

Lemieux's Q career went like this...

81-82 64 games, 30 goals 66 assists for 86 points.
82-83 66 games, 84 goals, 100 assists for 184 points.
83-84 70 games, 133 goals, 149 assist for 282 points.

Now, if Crosby plays straight out of his draft year, he will only play two years in the Q unlike Lemieux's 3. Can he touch Mario's record. Hopefully it will be fun to watch.

Crosby can't be drafted until 05 i think... Wouldn't mind getting Ovechkin though.

Crosby now leads the Q (and the entire CHL) in scoring with 32 (16+16) points in 15 games.

He has played in 3 less games than the second leading scorer who has 31.

So far, though Koalska, Hendricks, and Suter have played 2 games each, neither has registered a point this season.

I would update the Russians, but I can't find a reliable site anymore. Then one I had used closed down.

I love this kid. Crosby is running away with the lead in CHL scoring. He had 35 points in 16 games. 17 goals and 18 assists in 16 games! For a 16 year old in the Q, that's incredible.

His 35 points are 4 more than the closer competitor who has played 2 more games.

Yup, the list of prospects to follow was made well before the CHL seasons began.

It seems Patty is doing good. He's older than most in that league but he's kicking it pretty well.

He seems like our playmaker center of the future

because Arkhipov is struggling mightily with his shot, so might as well make the centermen creative forces and let the wingers be the grinders/scorers...JMHO of course

Just how the hell did this happen? He has hands of stone, I'm very impressed with this. Can you believe he average a goal every 5 games last year?

He had 4 assists in today's game against Sidney Crosby's team...and Lewiston won 10-4

Here's how I figure it happened. Stehlik is carrying the puck up the ice, he loses control of the puck and Alexandre Picard steps in and takes the puck and rockets past the D for a goal

And he only had 3 according to the Q website. All were primary assists and all were in the 3rd.

If I'm calculating correctly, our boy Crosby has 45 points in 21 games. That's 19 goals and 26 assists. He's on pace for 65 goals and 89 assists and 154 points.

Lemieux, in his first year (he was 2 months younger than Crosby was at this same time), had 30 goals and 66 assists for 96 points.

when you say "former," are you saying Widing isn't part of our system anymore?

He's referring to the fact that he was formerly in the SEL and now is playing in the SM-Liiga
