Pavelski? No thanks.
He's really really overrated around here. I really don't see how he's underrated. He wouldn't be much of an upgrade over Grabovski.

Pavelski is a center.....so why would Grabo be on the wing?
Plus the leafs would have to give up alot to get him (prospects, draft picks, etc)

That's his point. They're the same age, but one costs tons of assets and tons of money. The other just costs tons of money

Didn't Marleau and Wilson have MAJOR issues when he coached SJ? If that's the case, I can't see him being the guy. Pavelski seems more likely.

Doug MacLean lost all credibility when he said – and I quote – "James Reimer will NOT be starting for Canada at the world championships when Miikka Kiprusoff is available. It just won't happen – unless, of course, Kipper declines the invite."

And because he has a history with Burke, he's gotta want to come here!

strong source of mine is telling me Crosby is available because pens are worried that he will not be the same player after his concussions....
dunno, Im kind of wary of crosby. I mean, what if he is only a 90-100pt center now? I would offer maybe MacArthur + Colborne. Thoughts?

This is the silly season. There is no bigger Thornton fan on this board, but I have no interest in giving up the type of package to get Joe, and I have very little faith that he'd waive to leave San Jose.
But I was surprised they re-signed Seto for $3 000 000 for 3 years.

There's no way Thornton is moving.

Yeah, it was classic. Me and my brother were like... "did he just say that?" And thanks to my TV On Demand, I rewound and realized – yes, he did just say that.

Only way I go after Thornton is if I shed enough money to add him without touching the cap space to keep me in the UFA game on July 1.

i would have to think that San Jose would probably want Schenn in that deal. when your number 3 d-man is Ian White (i like White) you could seriously use Schenn in your line-up. i think you could replace a Schenn-like player on July 1st.
