It's weird about Chipchura. In pre-season, Tippett sounded like he was playing really well. Also, i don't understand how he can be waived and still be on Phoenix' roster. Does that mean he can actually play for the Coyotes?
Right... He has passed waivers so if they decide to assign him that is taken care of, however, if he is on the roster 30 days or play in 10 games he will have to pass through waivers again so I suspect something will happen especially if they ever get Turris signed.
Pirates home opener tonight too, right? Jeez, been so long the rest could work negatively on them, what with being a bit sluggish to begin with. Ayway, hopefully this season doesn't continue to feel so.. 'stop-n-start' like it has so far. Still don't know how I feel about the 76 game schedule.
Well that game was brutal and the crowd didn't try to hide their feeling towards their new team when they played like they did tonight. Pirates did everything wrong from puck drop to the end. Everyone had a horrible game not a good way to start with a new franchise home opener. Pirates went 0-7 on the powerplay, and i could not even count the number of non stop turn overs. Did not take the body at all, did nothing to get the fans in it. Miele had a very bad game, could not hold on to the puck or move it. Just a bad game for everyone. This game reminded me of the coyotes first game this year vs sharks.
Hope they get into the game and play better tomorrow.

Pirates leave wrong impression By Chris Roy Published: 16th October 2011
Portland, ME – There is only one chance to make a good first impression.
As the new AHL affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, the Portland Pirates are hoping they get a second opportunity.
One week after earning a victory in Bridgeport, Connecticut to open their season, the Pirates put on a lackluster performance as they dropped their home-opener, 5-1, to the Manchester Monarchs before a crowd of 5,411 at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
I think Tikhonov can safely be called a bust at this point. No progress to report, unimpressive camp, and spending his time in the KHL is not going to make him a better player. He'll score goals, won't practice much defense, but we all know by now he'll never be a sniper here.
I'm adding him to our list of wasted 1st round picks.

We forgot to tell you those came with your affiliate agreement.
