They never win
An UNDER-17 WC,UNDER -18 WC, World Junior Gold for USA
They never play for there country in the World Championships 3 times. What a joke,WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Just let him go LOL FOREVER>
There's an awful lot of players like that, actually. Guys who can tear up the CHL and AHL and never have more than one or two productive seasons in the NHL. That doesn't mean POS can't, but it's by no means a given.

I'm actively rooting for him to turn it around. The guy has been through a lot, though unfortunately a lot of it probably hurt him in the long run. Given his performance in juniors, he would have been a first round pick and probably gone in the top 10-15 picks if it weren't for that monster of a father he has. But given the nightmare it must have been dealing with his dad, I'm sure he can handle a demotion. It's just such a shame that that lunatic did so much damage to his career before it even started.

I think Patty just needed his first game back to get over his disappointment of being sent down.

A goal, an assist and tonight's first star. Welcome back, POS!

You never get over the disappointment of going to the AHL when you should be in the NHL especially in this underachieving organization.Just trade him while you can, thats what he wants.Have you ever been to Portland? Enough said.

I'm sure there are teams lining up with offers to present to Maloney for O'Sullivan at the deadline. Likely the same number that were anxious to sign him as a UFA this past summer. Just a matter of time....

Monarchs woes are the Pirates gain
By Chris Roy Published: 15th January 2012

Quote:
Things couldn’t be any worst for the Manchester Monarchs than they are right now.

For the Portland Pirates, who are dealing with their own issues, this game couldn’t have come at a better time.

Patrick O’Sullivan scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as the Pirates defeated the Monarchs, 4-1, before 5,389 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Any word yet Chris on whether COR is actually headed to Portland or is this a paper transaction?

If he does head that way you could be faced with too many vets, a problem Edwards would be only too happy to have to deal with.

They already got rid of him once when they bought him out, and they tried again when they waived him. No one else wants him.

I'm sure your aware of the re-entry waivers arrangement, of only having to pay 1/2 of the salary owing and the team picking up the player paying the other half.
I'm sure they will do this with COR trying to free up some cash.Cheapskates!

No, you're right. Even though he's not good enough to be on the team, they should keep paying him an NHL salary in the minors.

Not cheapskates - just runnung the business of hockey the smart way. This is what GMDM is being paid to do.

Alexandre Bolduc is also likely in the mix for the Pirates after missing the entire season after torn labrum shoulder surgery.....

Dean Arsene has been suspended for four games for a hit to the head penalty on Robbie Czarnik and Max Goncharov has been suspended for two games for hitting from behind in Saturday's game vs. Springfield.

If Oystrick is unable to play... He did practice with protective boot covers. The Pirates will have to bring in a defenseman from the ECHL.
