Portland was a long sweet ass vacation, but it's always better to come back home.

I don't see Boughner leaving the Spits again unless it's for the right job. Rumor has it that right job is as an assistant with the Red Wings.

Bakes was adamant against Boughner in the GooseRoost podcast, which shocked me. He's an up-and-comer in my eyes; a guy that seems to get through to his players.

Thoughts on McCutcheon or Foligno?

Likely McCutcheon due to the recent restaffing and him staying in some capacity...

Since you brought him up, it was Bakes who I was talking to when the Red Wings comment came up.

I think McCutcheon would love to be back in Rochester, where he was very successful. Don't know about Foligno...what did he do after stepping down from the Wolves?

Mike's an assistant to Carlyle in Anaheim. Likely wants a post as the head-man, I'd think, even if it's in the AHL.

How about Kevin Adams as an assistant. Seems like they are trying to groom him for something bigger?? Would be better to start there then move up to the Sabres as an assistant.

"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

I'll be getting an Americans sweater this year, for sure.

Would love to get one which had the full length red-white stripes. Anniversary year?

Pretty reliable people in Rochester saying Mike Ramsey will be the head coach.

The candy stripes one? They no longer wear those, but a solid choice. The Amerks have new, 60's era, 3rd jerseys with the crest straightened, and without the Americans script. They're very simple, but I love them.

Yeah, the candy stripes. With the Americans in script on the shield.

it will be an interesting roster this year. the defense looks pretty snazzy, and Foligno - Adam - Kassian is going to be fun to follow

Any chance Rhett Warriner is in the mix for coaching in some role? He was pretty vocal about chatting up Pegula with Regehr.

So awesome. Will definitely be heading down the 90 to catch some games this year.

Any word on whether they will reintroduce the Rochester home game for the Sabres?

Perhaps a silly question, but will the Amerks be just the Sabres' AHL affiliate, or are they going to again be sharing it with Florida?
