would Montador resign to be back with his 2004 Calgary Flames buddies?

I think the only buddies he would have left are Kiprusoff and Iginla if Regehr leaves. Guess Conroy counts if you include management.

There's pretty much no one left from that team.

Same reason that has been mentioned repeatedly -- the thread changed from "Regehr asked to Waive" and speculation was he could be going many places to "Regehr asked to Waive for Buffalo".

i just checked capgeek. he's signed until the end of the '13 season, meaning he would also be a great stop-gap for giving mcnabb time to develop (assuming he's not involved in the trade).

Not likely - the reason the Flames are presumably dealing Regehr is to open up more cap space for them. Dealing a $4M defenseman for a $4M winger makes no sense.

Not likely there either - with Regehr in the mix and Sabres probably wanting to find space for Gragnani next season, Montador is expendable.

...we'll take him back in Calgary to help try and fill the gigantic freaking hole Reggie's departure will leave.

Regehr to buffalo

Does anyone know what the rumors are right now and what the flames would be getting in return for him?

I highly doubt Buffalo is giving up Adam and there 1st, that would leave them with no draft picks until the third round. It seems more likely to be a d prospect and butler/sekera/weber

Good move for Buff get a solid shutdown guy to play with Myers(expect his offensive numbers to go up)

Good move for Calgary????? good pick and good prospect?????

Would not surprise me if Cgy decides(trys to) to pkg their 1st's to move up to get a top centerman in the draft ......

The Sabres are in the running for Regehr and you're worried about their freakin draft picks? Please.

The Sabres would now have Myers, Leopold, Regehr, Sekera, Gragnani, Weber, Butler, and Morrisonn with several prospects on the horizon. Someone has to go.

Robyn Regehr unlikely to decide tonight on whether to waive no move clause to clear trade to Buffalo

Actually, I am, because Adam and a 1st is not a good deal for the Sabres IMO. It makes us even weaker at our organizational weakness.

I'd hope for Calgary try to move Sarich/Bouwmeester/other player + 16th for a higher pick (6th from OTT?). If they keep their 13th and add a strong center prospect.

No decision tonight but he would be a good player for Buffalo.

Yeah lets trade Regehr and Bouwmeester and completely decimate our backend.

If Regehr is traded they aren't trading Bouwmeester and likely shouldn't be trading Sarich (as mentioned above).
