I've always been a Fletcher supporter. Starting to change my opinion now.

So freaking disappointed. WOW, waiting all these months for this incredible letdown.
Hard to trade down when no ones calling. Is it worth dropping 4 spots for a 3rd a risk losing your guy? No. Wimp, well I'll take Kim Johnsson over Ed Jovanovski.

He's not necessarily a scorer, though its hard to judge a 17 year old playing on the top team in perhaps the 2nd best league in the world.

Much bigger talent than Marcus Johansson was.
Will probably grow on people much like Johan Larsson(Brynas) did this year, but right now people will be disappointed for passing on Murphy. Brodin's grown on me and just the past week I really felt he was possible at #10. We look to have been right overpicking Nick Leddy a couple years ago, Brodin's the closest comparable to Leddy and much less of a reach than Leddy was.

I am baffled. Doesn't fill a need, could have traded down. Another tiny, vaguely-offensive defenseman?

If Brodin put up more points he would have been a candidate for number one pick. He's good guys (and girls?).

ya but when we picked granlund dozens of people jumped over here to say how awesome he was.. With Brodin, *crickets

I got a cool $50 that says he never plays a full season in the NHL...

We've actually had a need for a top-4 puck moving d-man since we traded Kim Johnsson 2 years ago. Tiny? He's over 6', weight will get up there, he's a 17 year old.

i like him more than Murphy.

seriously, if he ends up like Kimmy J. we really need that. it was obvious when he left and no matter how people like to pretend, Spurgeon isn't that good.

Jonas will play another year for us. And if he continues to develop in the same speed he will be sick. In the latter part of this season he even started to go solo a couple of times.

Two way player, really good speed, amazing view of the play. Never does any mistakes, always taking the easiest solution when making passes.

Reminds you alot of Lidström. Without the ability to score as many points as Nick tho.

And if he was bigger. He makes less mistakes than adam Larsson but he loses battles because he's skinny as hell.

Well, cant do nothing about you not having a clue about who he is.
Im not saying he would have been picked first, but more point projection with the talant he has he would have been up there and an absolute lock for top 10.

But Granlund was PPG in a men's league, Brodin has not been anything spectacular during his season

Never wanted Murphy, would have been even madder had the WILD taken him.

But this team needs offense SO bad, and we instead add our 34th D-man to the Aeros roster. WTF!?

And if any Wild fan can give me a substantive reason why they don't like Brodin, I'm interest in hearing it, but I'm guessing most of us will look at the stat line and get pissed. I admit, I know nothing about him, so I'm interested in seeing what happens. As of now, Fletcher and Co. deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to drafting, so we'll see.
