Edmonton "writer" felt the need to grade him as such. Meanwhile the Wild's "writer" who just so happens to be from Edmonton, felt Brodin's grade was justified... Those top 50 rankings the site puts out are based on the grades each writer gives so when different writers view the grades to mean different things, this is the result... Sort of like how you'll see Beau Bennett rated highly for no apparent reason.

LOL its a joke, there is nothing that has been done that would cause Klefbom to be rated higher than Brodin.

Brodin was drafted higher, dominated at the WJC camp, plays 3x as many minutes Klefbom does in the SEL on the same team.

Brodin is alot better at the time yes, and Klefbom missed the first 3-4 games with a concussion and after that while the team is struggling, so are Klefbom when it comes to getting a spot on the roster.
We got 8 healthy D's and 1 more coming back any day now. Klefbom is close at getting sent away on loan I wud say.

the whole debate rages over ceiling, some people believe that Klefbom has a higher ceiling, he was rated a 8.0c by HF, while Brodin is a 7.5b which is ********.

Brodin has a ceiling of a true number one guy, no way at this time should Klefbom be ahead of Brodin

who besides the already mentioned Edmonton natives thinks Brodin's ceiling is lower? do they have any sort of pool of scouting opinions or anything to draw from?

hockeydb.com

brodin only had 4 assists and Klefbom is mean, he's 6'03, he's a leader on and off the ice, he is also a general for the swedish army, his offensive potential is that of wayne gretzky.

essentially he is considered to have more offensive upside and a physical player so that must mean he's better

Lost 0-1 away against Linköping.

Brodin played 20.24, 2nd most of the D's. Got a 2 min penalty.
4 shots, one of them in the bar.

Even tho we lost we played quite well. We got 2 home games now, I'd say that if we lose both of them it's bye bye to our coach.

Our local newspaper have rated all players in the team and their performances so far this season.
Brodin has the highest rating. 4 of 5.
The average rating is 1.98 lol...

Another game going to penalties, another loss, argh dead sick of those penalty shootouts.

1-2 at home against Timrå. The team everyone predicted to come dead last in the standings when this season is over. 1 goal in the last 2 games. 1 goal in 61 shots.

Brodin: 20.37 of ice time, 3 shots (2 wide), 2 min penalty for holding.

Tomorrow we play our rivals and league leaders Frölunda at home. If we lose that game aswell all hell will break lose. The core supporters have given our coach one last game to get the first win of the season.

We have also signed Oilers prospect Kirill Kabanov on an eight games contract for the time being.

Can't tell u how good it felt to finally take 3 points. It was more celebrations, cheers and joy after the final whistle, than after last seasons gold game, no joke.

Regarding Brodin I got no clue why he only played 6 min. He might have gotten benched, tho that wud be weird if that's the case.
Jonas Frögren was finally back after an injury he sustained last season, so we now got 9 healty D's.

Brodin apparently got hit by a jump tackle to the head from Fredrik Pettersson in Frölunda. Many didn't see it, nor did I.

Rumours after the game said a broken nose, but some who had seen him said that doesn't look to be the case. Nothing said from the docs or coaches even tho it's 3 days since the game so he's probably fine, a concussion at most probably, even if that's bad enough of course.

Well, nice to know that Brodin will fit in once he makes the jump. Every other prospec has gotten injured a few times

Thanks for the updates, as always

FWIW i'd rather have a broken nose than a concussion.

Ye ur probably right.

The team got a 5 day break between the games now (next game's thursday away) so he won't miss too much, depending on how bad the injury is.

8 more games before the first euro hockey tour break.
5 of them at home and 2 "fairly easy" away games out of 3. Atleast in every other season they should have been, but this season is just upside down for us as u know.

But it's now we got to bring them points in. Let's all hope last games regular time win has brought us back on track

A replay of the hit u mean? Not that I know of. Practically no one saw it. Didn't result in a penalty either.

The last weeks has been totally insane from the media when it comes to hits towards the head. Started with 2 injuries in 2 days and then we got like 4-5 suspensions just in the 2-3 following days for normal hits.

The last 2 vids is Färjestad players.

Started with this one: 7 games suspension http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kkoBohFI5U
3 games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llxuO...el_video_title

Whats with the consistency?
No penalty on Jämtin for that? Should be suspended at least for a game.
And Serner gets no game but the other similar hits get at least 2 games. Ok?

Welcome to SEL. This is why the referee's are so hated by all fans. No consistency whatsoever. One game u get a penalty for a slash on a stick, the next ur team is on a breakaway and gets the stick slashed out of his hands, it only results in a turnover for the other team as the refs are stupid as hell.

This is the story every week..

Brodin is playing tonight so no worries on him.

We got another match penalty for checking to the head in tonights game....
Our 3rd one in 3 games.

Still up 0-1 with half the game to go.

Won 1-2.

Brodin played 20.06, 2 min penalty. Went +1.

We are now 7 points from the 3rd place in the standings. Feels good.

Brodin seems like a perfect partner to an offensive d'man. Her seems to log lots of ice and end up a plus.
