He looks like a Dany Heatley/Dexter Morgan crossbreed. I would be fine if that translated over to his game.

how good really is this guy? doesnt put up points offensively, plus 5 or whatever. Will he play for the Wild if he bulks up? Not sure if I like the pick or not, but I didn't like when Fletcher drafted Leddy either and so far Leddy looks like he was a good pick.(bad trade) Will Brodin be a star for us in the future?

Brodin so far is looking to be alot like Kim johnsson with more upside. Solid & fast skater who has really good hockey IQ and is good at moving the puck.

as for his point totals so far this season, i really wonder if thats cause he's playing against men, or his role on the team (currently using 8 dmen last i heard). when he was playing against players his own age and size, and was told to shoot the puck more + got alot more PP time, he put up points and was looking to be a real solid player.

The SEL just seems to have low scoring Dmen through out their history. I believe Lidstrom put up just as low of numbers as brodin has the past 2 years at the age, but look at him now. considered one of the best defensmen of all time.

players like Runblad and Karlsson were good at points, but from the looks of it, aren't completely solid in their own end yet. Brodin however, is very solid in his own end and very rarely makes mistakes.

time will tell how good he will be for us, i know having him for our breakouts is gonna awesome even if he never becomes a point getting stud, but having a prospect who plays against men and is solid in his own zone is better imo. offense can be learned alot quicker than defense. plus he'll have more chances at PP time and is being told to shoot by our coaches.

Your guess is as good as ours. Fletcher drafted him hoping he would be a star. But I think that's the story with most 1st rounders.

Leddy didn't look good the year after he was drafted either.

Brodin has been no.1 by far in our +- standings all season. He has just dropped to tied 4th as we finally have started to score.

regarding Brodin and his point totals, people need to chill the **** out, he is an 18 year old playing in a mens league, he doesn't get **** for PP time, and is asked to play a role which he does with out attitude or any issues, he has a good +/- which means he's on the ice for more positive goals, would you rather he has more points but a massive - rating?

also given what we saw this summer in the WJC eval camps he was the most impressive player there, ran the pp well, he's a smart player who reads the play very well, has a good pass, he needs a better shot but then again he needs about 15-20 lbs of muscle. and he is freaking 18 years old he has a good 3-4 years before he starts blooming.

i think he will be fine, i am very excited to see him at WJC this year got NHL network and all , i have a feeling baring a signing/trade for a guy like Sutter Brodin will be the best dman on the Wild next year.

Oh god I remember getting really excited about Leddy, then he played for the Gophs, got injured, and just looked at best mediocre all year.

That being said I am excited about Brodin, from what I saw from him at the Prospects camp he just really understands playing defense, and knows where to be and uses his stick effectively. He's so smart and can skate so well forwards, backwards and closing gaps, that I feel it will be hard for him to not make an impact for the Wild's D.

Won 6-3 at home in the last game before the xmas break.

Brodin played 17.08, +1, 1 shot wide and 1 assist.

In the 2nd period he entered the offensive zone with the puck, was about to get tackled, lay the puck on one side of the opponent and made a piruett in the air on the other side, landed and took control of the puck again lol. Fancy.

The first 11 games when we had no victory after full time we scored 16 goals.
Since the 12th game when we finally won we have played 19 games and scored 52 goals.

This is what the standings looked like before the 1st 3 point game

The games after the 1st win
http://estat.hockeyligan.se/c/LTable...ate=2011-12-08

Quite a turnover.

have unfortunately broken his nose after an elbow to the face.
