Even the weaknesses make me think of Subban

The pick has little effect on Weber. The Habs need young Dmen who can skate and he also has size. When interviewed he said he expects to play in the NHL in 3 years. By then Gill, Spacek, Hamrlik, and perhaps Markov will be gone. I assume he'll be playing with Subban, (Y)Emelin, Tinordi, and Gorges. Maybe Weber will still be around.

That seems to be the consensus projection for him. That's fine by me!

Tinordi-Subban
Beaulieu-Yemelin/Gorges?

Lol It's so hard to look that far forward, but either way, it looks alright for sure.

I think they had a lot of interviews with him, which gave him a good idea.

Grimaldi would have been a nice fit with Price and Cammy

The similarities are uncanny.

Subban is headed for stardom though, so let's not get our hopes up too high though. If Beaulieu can reach his #3-4 projection I'll be a happy camper!

I don't consider myself religious, but I have a lot of respect for Grimaldi and the way he handles himself. Straight up class act...

He was definitely on my radar.

Tinordi is going to be a monster like his father

Beaulieu is going to be badass

Yemelin is already a badass

And Subban is the epic troll.

I think we are set for defense guys.

We got size and talents.

anybody has hopes that Beaulieu can jump into the league this year? Similar to Cam Fowler, where he drop significantly. In Beaulieu interview with TSN he said some GM told him he was ready now while other said he's 2-3 years away.

Who could we compare him to? (as a career forecast, and stylishly?) I read Subban here but come on, Subban's style is pretty unique.

Is Éric Desjardins a good comparison?

I love this pick! I would never have thought he'd drop down to us.
I'm also happy with our depth of d prospects. Hopefully, this will allow him to develop slowly in the Q and A and not have to rush him into the NHL unnecessarily.
Great pick, now we need to sign a rugged top 6 forward.

I think he's 2 years away, but he'll be great.

TSN's graphic had as the comparison Mike Green, but both Mckenzie and Mcguire said he reminded them of Subban the most.
