Colton Orr

Orr has been one of my favourites in Toronto and I was wondering what's happened to him.

Last I heard, his concussion from the fight against Parros could be career ending, but I really haven't heard much since the fight.

Anybody have any idea what's happening with Orr?

Was ready to play at the end of the season but Burke and management decided not to rush him in and let him fully recover.

He's on a search to find Chuck Norris.

He is a great guy to have around when you need some toughness in your lineup, but he should not play every game. People will disagree, and obviously RW disagrees but that has been my thoughts since the day he was signed.

I agree with this...

He should be back next year probably.

I'm not saying he's never going to play another game but he is effectively finished. Concussion issues for a player whose job description includes blows to the head is the end of a career as far as I'm concerned. What would be real nice is that he realizes this and doesn't have to go through that awful moment where he's carried off the ice for the last time or has to go around declining invitations to fight because he knows he has to pick his spots. However these guys are made of the stuff that makes them brave beyond common sense.

One more knockout ala Engelland and that's probably it for him or so I'd have to think.

he was ready by the end of the year, but doc's advised that it's best he sit out so there is absolutely no lingering effect. Should come back stronger and better for next year .

The sheriff will do his job and kick carkner's ass...again.

He's got the 13th forward spot locked down. Except 1 mill for a 13 man is too steep

Orr is more than the 13th man. He's a top fighter and he isn't a liability on the ice, like most fighters.

You're delusional if you think a healthy Orr isn't playing 82 games this season. You're right, 1 mill is too much for a substitute player, but Orr is a full time lock on our 4th line, assuming he's cleared to play.
