I like this pick. Gives us even more goalie depth and hes actually IMO a real good goalie. He probably will play in Rochester next year. I followed the WHL playoffs closely. He played very good for Kootney.

He's also pretty big too, 6'5, gonna be interesting to see how he develops.

Overage kid that probably would have been drafted a couple years ago if it weren't for a car crash.
Good size and shaky glove hand, but plenty of time to refine his game.
They may keep him in Kootenay next season and he'll probably be flipped at the WHL trade deadline (I know, probably getting ahead of myself here).

Big boy, everyone assumed we'd bring in a goalie after our other goalies struggled in college this year, good choice.

They've had some success in the mid-rounds before.
I wish his glove was better after watching the MemCup. But I'm not a goalie guy. I'll leave that to others.
Love the size and the success though. Like the pick.

I wonder if he's in Rochester next season. He'll be 20 and they could use a minder.

Bakes seems to think he'll backup Leggio this year.

I think this is what the late rounds are for. There is little expectation involved. If one works out everyone is delighted and if not, it's only a late rounder with very little value.
If I was head scout, I'd look at the 5th to 7th round as a chance to prove your metal. Go for one high potential project, one safe character energy player and a local player who will do everything he can to play for his favourite team. Thats just me.

He'll be 20 in August and eligible if signed for Rochester.

Nice. Send him to Rochester to play with Leggio. It's going to be an amazing year to be a Rochester native. Hopefully Pegula's management still puts the 2-for-1 coupons out there so my brother and I can go to games for $6 bucks each.

Love it. Grab a goalie in the late rounds every year, maybe every other, and you'll never want for a goalie.

This is why we never have issues at goaltender. Always keep the prospect line fresh.
