Are one of you guys connected to a Vancouver scout? lol
A number of us watch practises with Ron Delorme to rate the prospects.
We have our officially approved NHL Central Scouting checklists - like Ronnie we just fill in the fields. And you thought it was tough being a scout.
The NHL Central Scouting Bureau has developed three specialized assessment tools called 'Checklists'. These Checklists are used by Central Scouting's full time staff to assess a draft eligible player's skill set throughout the year.
Part of it is just a gut feeling, but I like what I have seen in some highlights of his speed and puck handling for a defenceman. Also in his stats he looks like he added some bite with more PIM's. They could be lots of stick work minors as I have not seen him,but I would think the increase came from more confidence to play the body a bit as he developed and got a year older in the OHL. Also has a bit of a swagger to him in the interviews I have seen which I like.
