Too bad, so sad.

Time to move on. Good luck to Gilroy.

I liked him.

I thought he was starting to come out of his shell a bit in the playoffs against the Caps.

Oh well.

Gilroy gone at any price tag is cause of celebration.

Get us a tougher stay-at-home for the third pairing, or a kid with more upside who wont be turning 27.

He played better but even then he was just meh. He doesn't do anything well, he's just there. Not a great skater, didn't bring the puck up ice like we hoped, can't shoot, not a great passer, not a great defender, can't hit, etc. I'm happy to see him go.

So MDZ, Erixon, Tank, Kundratek, and maybe a cheap vet fight for the last three spots?

does the qualifying offer increase the contract by 100% meaning if we have Cally signed to a 2.3 mil contract and we qualify him, does he go up to 4.6 or does it mean we are offering him the same contract he first had, which is 2.3?

No, 100 percent of the current deal which means his salary would have been the exact same as the last year of the deal.
