Seeing Byfuglien in a nice, new, bright vintage Jets jersey makes me think how great and classy those would be for a primary jersey. Those jerseys were really classic looking, and I think with the more prominent usage of white as a second color separates it from the other blue/red NHL uniforms. At least those will look awesome on the ice for a 3rd jersey (hopefully). I think those jerseys with blue pants with a prominent white vertical stripe with red borders would really look fantastic. Same with the numbers - have them be white with a red border like the pre-1990 jerseys and I think they would be relatively original in today's NHL.
FYI, for our friends who haven't seen it before, this is the Provencher Bridge, which the poster in question used one of his THREE posts to call one of Winnipeg's most hated landmarks.
Although I wish the Jets to be buried season after season at the bottom of the league, I gotta say this is a pretty sharp logo. This is what I'd vote for. I don't wish visual lameness on any team's fans.

Yech... that is ugly
I still think it's much ado about nothing. It's a nice feature, gives our city some identity, as does the Marion overpass with the buffalo & wheat inlays. I never had any problem with this bridge; other than the fact the restaurant that got to locate there was: Salisbury House! lol *head desk*

That bridge is an eye sore, can't stand looking at it.

The discussion is kinda OT, but at the same time it makes a perfect point:
The bridge, like the logo/ colour scheme/ jersey, is art, and therefore will have people who love it, hate it or are just ok with it.
Kinda like the bridge. You think it's an eyesore, I think it's beautiful. I think the key to the logo is to make one that the majority can get behind. If you do that, you've been very successful IMO.
My friend's dad has seen the new logo. He knows someone who knows someone. Put it that way. He says it looks awesome. He's only seen it on a cellphone. If I get a picture of it, I'll be sure to post it.
Cheers
My friend's cousin's dad's hairdresser's dog walker's sister seen it.
She said it's animated and has LED lights on it.
Is it assumed the new Jets would keep the same colors?
Unknown at this point. Mark Chipman has said that the logo, for sure, will be significantly different, although he hinted that some of the colors might be familiar. In other words, impossible to say at this point.

Oh ok. I was hoping they'd keep the same logo, but I knew the chances of that were very slim. At least until they jump into the retro phase.
