Campoli And Frolik Signing Soon (Jesse Rogers: Next Up, Very Soon)

July 1st is only about five days away. If these deals get done, I'm sure they'll need to get done before free agency begins. Hopefully, Bowman gets these deals done. I think keeping Campoli is now a necessity with Campbell in Florida. Frolik also helps complete our third line with Bickell and Bolland.

Maybe I was right.

Hope Campoli signs a 2/3 year deal at a good price, hopefully he's not looking for a huge payday.

I'm thinking that if Campoli signs, it'll be for $1.8 million per. I don't know about length.

With the cap space the Hawks now have, I have no doubts that both will be re-signed.

Now that the draft is over, Stan should try to get these done so he can focus on the free agent market. He has money to spend.

Definetely happy Campoli is staying in Chiacago. When you move a player you want to place him in a situation he wants to stay, we were going to not qualify him if you guys didn't trade for him, so good on Campoli

I'm wasn't a fan of Campoli before THE Turnover and certainly not after.

Just remember, it was magnified. If Sharp finishes back door, we're not talking about the turnover, we're talking about something else. I guess they should've won one of the first three games instead of trying to dig themselved out of the biggest playoff deficit possible.

It was a mistake not to sign both Fro and Campoli before Campbell's departure. Now their agents have all the power to press Stan knowing he has more than enough money under the cap.

The opinion would be funny if it wasn't so sad an uneducated. 100's of things happened in that series not to mention that game that could have changed the out come. Combine that with the reality that Campoli got that puck 6 feet in the air and it took a great play by Vancouver to save it. ... Whatever.

And are we now officially calling the opinion of a poster 'speculation".

That doesn't change anything, I think Bowman now has more bargaining power, because we can easily go out and sign someone else if they don't want to sign a good deal. I say Bowman should hold out on them until they sign for what he wants, or closer to what he wants.

I really don't think any team is going to offer sheet either of these two guys. And if no one offer sheets them, are they just not going to play hockey next season? I understand signing them sooner, because we have to prepare for July 1st. But if they are asking for the moon, I would hold off and sign someone to replace them.

They are both RFA's, their agent doesn't have any bargaining power.

You are technically right but i meant other aspect. Now Stan feels himself a little more free under the cap so he became a little easier to push on during negotiations.

I thought this was going to be an article saying deals were about to get done.. lol.

Anyways, they still may not be signed before July 1st. Stan just has to qualify them and I really don't think either player will garner any big interest in terms of offer-sheets. Maybe Frolik, but given his 'off' year, that's more doubtful.

Hopefully deals come sooner rather then later though, be nice just to get them locked up so we know how much we can spend July 1st.

He might even sign Stalberg just to get him out of the way. I mean, he might as well since he is re-signing Frolik and Campoli.

You don't seem to be a fan of anything relating to the Hawks, so why are you again supporting the Blackhawks?
