Barret Jackman to the Hawks

Would St. Louis move him?

What would they ask for?

He is without question exactly what the Hawks need.

There is a zero percent chance we would move him to the Hawks

LOL, Jackman to the Hawks Not saying that Jackman won't ever be traded, but Jackman will NEVER be traded to the Hawks or Wings. Maybe at the very end of his career, like when Federko went to the Wings, but definitely not now.

If the Oilers and Flames can trade with each other then anything is possible. If the Blues believe they can better their team, or fix a need, or bring in some young players, or whatever it is they want to do with their team, they will trade with anyone.

The idea that teams won't trade with each other is one of the more prominent and believed myths of the NHL, but it is still a myth.

True, but considering our number one need is another LH Vet Dman in addition to Jackman, there is no chance we get rid of him, this year anyway

St. Louis' biggest need is a defensively responsible left defenseman that can log important minutes. Trading Jackman means St. Louis' biggest need would then be TWO defensively responsible left defensemen that can log important minutes.

Ian Cole, David Perron, and Barret Jackman for Patrick Kane.

Wasn't that the proposed trade back at the 2007 draft?

He certainly doesn't have a replacement lined up so they might as well.

Jackman will be the Blues scapegoat this year. For a lot of last year he was the worst defensmen on the team. He is not progressing at all, his best years were his first couple in the year ever since he was hurt by Bertuzzi he has been a much worse player. And since he got married his physicality has reduced significantly, Im not saying it had anything to do with his getting married but it was the season after that he quit playing as tough. The blues have ridden themselves of pretty much all players of that era Jackman is the last one from the seasons of being horrible.

Given Armstrong's preference for a bigger player in his role, I would think it unlikely Jackman is resigned.
