Ottawa. Just based on all their 1sts. When was the last time we had more than 1 1st rounder? And our last 2nd rounder was in 2008.

Who voted the Habs? it's obvious it's the Sens and/or Leafs based on high picks and numbers

Mcdonagh and Patches is the last time I think.

It most certainly is NOT the Leafs. They did really poorly IMO

Love Boston and Ottawa's drafts. How unfair is it that Bruins win the Cup and then get both Hamilton and Khokhlachev? Sens had some nice picks beyond the first round as well in Prince and Pageau, but I really like Puempel from their draft.

Ottawa... AINEC. They had the highest pick, of course, and 3 1sts, so it's rigged.

i would also mentionned their gamble with Filatov for a 3rd round pick, that could pay off. If not, it's not a huge lost.

I voted for Boston. Hamilton should be an all-star. Ottawa next then Buffalo. Leafs and Habs had the weakest drafts in division.

Ottawa, just because of their first 3 picks.

I voted for Ottawa, but I would have voted for Ottawa before the draft anyways. How can you not have a better draft with three 1st including the 6th overall?
Timmins does have a tendency to do well with late picks, so it'll be interesting to ask that question in a few years again.

Not only that, the last 3rd rounder we had was back in 2009.

Basically Boston's draft should've been the laffs' draft, but the Kessel Kurse swapped their draftees and not only do they get the Hammer, they got the Khok who I think will be a dangerous mofo in 2-3 years max as well as Volden who has immense potential (was hoping we would grab him first).

Ottawa's first 5 picks have a good chance of cracking the NHL lineup and knowing the standards of cracking Ottawa's lineup right now (2/3 of the team was AHL callups), Z-jad could play as soon as next fall. Puempel is pure skill. All the risk is in how he trains in the next 3-4 years. The rest can be good 2nd-3rd tweeners.

So yea Boston and Ottawa in that order. Buffalo's first 2 are decent too.

Ottawa Cleaned house on this draft. They went from having almost 0 prospects to having many good ones.

You best be kiddin, dawg. They had tons of prospects and now they have 5 more good ones, 6 if you count Filatov.

I'm not sure what your definition of prospect is, but they have Silfverberg (sp?), Butler, Condra, acquired DaCosta and Caporusso (sp?). Their defense is more impressive in Rundblad and Cowen, but they still have good forwards that were putting up numbers in the NHL nonetheless.

They were putting up those inflated numbers cause they were the Binghamton Senators at the end of the year.
