Who was our playoff MVP?

Still coming down from the high (and low) of last night.

Who do you think performed above and beyond in these 7 awesome games? Doesn't require stats at all.

What was your favorite moment too?

Bergy reached a different level. I lived the nightmare of Claude Lemieux, mister average who becomes a HOF'er. Bergy had a good yr which we all enjoyed, but i thought his compete level was fabulous in the playoffs.

My fav moment? mathias and upshall working the puck battling and gaining the zone eventually causing fatman to cough it up to versteeg leading to upshall's goal.

What say you?

Campbell for me. He was so solid out there and controlled the play every shift. Every time he was on the ice I felt so comfortable, and felt like we had a chance to score.

The fact that we got this guy for Rusty olesz blows my mind. I know Chicago's situation is different then ours - I really feel like the stars just aligned for that trade.

From the forwards I would say Bergy - Weiss certainly had his moments but wasn't consistent enough for me.

My favorite moment was Flash scoring the ENG and the rats raining down. Really wish I was there and I feel so good for all of you guys that are STH's that got to experience that. Really great moment

edit- Also seeing all the posters on HFboards! I wasn't very active throughout the playoffs posting but I was reading and it was great seeing so many passionate panther fans. Usually it's completely dead around here this time of year.

Compared with his play in regular season I think my boy Eddie did pretty well. And since I know no one else will vote for him, I will.

And favorite moment etc: noice. Noice in the arena. It's captivating and gave me awesome shivers.

Bergy for me. I ended up buying his shirt. Love what this guy brings to the team. Played through the broken ankle last night.

My favorite moment had to be the tying goal last night. I lost my voice screaming during it and the crowd was going ape. I'm glad we got that moment since we weren't able to get the win.

I would actually vote for Goc because faceoffs were huge in this series and he gave it 110% every time he was on the ice.

He's now making it very difficult for me to decide on who to put on a shiny new red jersey.

It's hard for me to decide between Campbell, Bergy, and Goc. All were big factors in the series.

That was actually his faceoff percentage.

Shouldn't it be 'Who's'?

Anyway, I went to 2 of the games and for me the most awesome to watch were Kopecky, Bergs, Madden and Samuelson. They all stood out to me much more in the post season.
The team as a whole was fantastic. I look forward to adding some scoring next year and advancing to the next level.

Marcel Goc.

Weiss was second to me. He played pretty well for a guy who was playing with one winger who was floating most of the time and another who was playing with a broken hand.

I think a center should be the winner because the faceoff circle domination kept us in the series.

Again though, Goc did a bit of everything so I'll go with him. I felt like his line was the best, too.

I will say a toss up between Goc and Bergie for playoff MVP. Those two were great. Campbell and Theo MVP for Regular Season.

Best moment(s): Weiss two goal game at home, even his goal in Game 7 was sick! So happy for him, and I don't "gush" over pro athletes that much anymore in my 20's.

Also, Guds coming out party to an extent. I can't wait for Markstrom and Huberdeau to have the bright lights of the playoffs on them soon enough

Ugh oh, we have the grammar police here it actually should be Who was.

my MVPs are Soupy on defense, and Goc up front. Both were sensational every game.

Ducks fan here. Just wanted to say I loved watching your team. If I was a Panthers fan, I'd be so damn proud. What an effort. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. You'll be back next year and better.

Congrats and keep your chin up!

Also - to the fans - wow - you guys rule. I've always respected fans of "non-traditional markets", we get a bad rep. You guys really proved everyone wrong and to shut up.

Go Panthers! (Unless they're playing the Ducks! )

Madden was just a warrior in the series. He brought it everytime he was on the ice. Goc, Soupy and Weiss all played well also. Loved Guds and also thought the change from WW to Smithson was good.

I don't really think Campbell was that awesome in the series, but I could be wrong. I thought he had an awesome Game 7.

In terms of the series, I'm not sure he was our best defenseman. That's just opinion, though. I was really impressed with the way Gudbranson played as I was expecting him to be worse, all things considered.

For what it's worth, Tyson Strachan played really well in his two games, as well.

Tyson Strachan played really well all year when given the chance. Add to this to the fact that Robak and Petrovic have played well down the stretch and in the playoffs and the orginization has excess D to get help up front.

Every time Guds was on the ice he made something happen, don't know if he was the MVP (Bergie) but this series went a long way to making him a better player.

Couldn't watch the Preds game yesterday, needed a day off to let the season sink in...
