few thoughts:
The hockey gods were watching on that scrap in front of our net. Goalie was layed out and Chicago had 3 shot on the open net. Don't know how they missed.

Wasted a 5-3 pp (full 2 min). But did have couple shots, just needs work.

Chicago seemed to have no problem on all of there PP's to get in the zone. Lucky they only scored on one of them. Will say it was a nice one at that. Got to give them credit.

IMO we looked like we lost the fore checking battle most of the night. But being a hockey novice I will wait to read Nate's blog on that.

As said before, we kept in game pretty much most of night. Sometimes it's being lucky at times that win the game. As an old coach said, those little gifts can win the game for you.

Dadonov huh? This should be fun.

I'm really just waiting for the ceiling to collapse... Call me jaded, but the past few years have made me a very negative hockey fan

The game yesterday just sucked, way too many penalties were taken on our side.

just watched the shootout on AHL Live

what a performance by Foster.

First 4 Rampage shooters were pretty pathetic... Dadonov's Spin-O-Rama was capped off by him losing an edge an tumbling to the ice... Really need to lose the cuteness and play hockey. I know they are a talented bunch and want to make that pretty play but I don't think the chemistry is there yet

Regardless, great win... Especially on the night Houston raises their Western Champ banner

Sorry for the lack of Gameday post, I had some parental type duties to handle today.

It's 3-1 Rampage over Texas late in the 2nd.

Goals from Timmins, Repik, and Rallo.

Foster having a heck of a game.

3-1 with a 7 game home stand coming up.

Timmins scores his second of the night with 1:48 left on a deflection of a Robak blast.

Timmins with 2 goals
Repik with a goal and an assist
Esposito with 2 assists
Foster stops 36 of 39

Rampage entered the game 1 for 16 on the power play and went 2 for 5 tonight. Hopefully, this game will help get them on track.

bodies in front of pucks... all over the place... they are going to be sore tomorrow.

really seemed like the same old story in the 3rd... Giving up a two goal lead. Hopefully we are starting a new chapter in this franchises history. One that includes regulation wins a CPC.

It really was nice to leave there in a good mood for a change.

Love to see that Foster is playing well while he's getting a chance to. I believe Legace got released from his PTO so I assume that Plante is almost healthy now? I assume Plante will get a chance to start soon enough, possibly tonite since its a back-to-back?

Late night scoring change on the game winner. Timmins did NOT get a piece of it, so GWG goes to Robak.

I think Foster goes again tonight. They don't play again until next weekend and it will just give Plante another week to heal up whatever is ailing him.

Yeah, Legace signed a PTO with Springfield. But the Rampage did sign Brian Sutherby to a PTO

If this team does not clean up it's PK and PP it's going to be a long season. Another O-for night again on the PP. And giving up 5 goals (last was a delayed penalty) on the PK. Started out good. And did have a few shots later in game. I know it's early and we had to fill in a couple holes last night. But no excuse for giving up all those goals. I don't know why he put Brian back in for this game. Is Plante still injured he couldn't cover from a back to back game? Next weekend have 3 in a row. So will be telling if this team has the gas to go full force for all games.

Been through this before...many times. They'll be fine if their d picks up. I'm not going to shoot my mouth off like I always do until December.... I want to get over the horrid October/November stretch.

I know it's just "life in the A" but these 6 day breaks between games are killing me... and I'm sure it's not good for team chemistry

What stinks is it's 6 days off and then 3 days on. But we should probably cherish it now. Next month is gonna be busy
