Oh ye forgot to mention it.
He played alot of PK today, no time registered in Sweden tho
Also played in the overtime.
In the first period he got hit well hard twice along the boards but he barely moved and the other guys fell themself
Might be able to record this during the replay of the game.
Not so many hits from Klefa himself tho.
But he has taken a HUGE step the last 4-5 games.
From being our 8th-9th best D, playing alot with the juniors he's now in our top 2 d's with Brodin. Not far away from Jonas now, Brodin still got quicker feet and is more nifty with no time on his hands tho.
Thanks for keeping us up to date, sounds like he's taken a huge step.
Won 3-1 at home. Only 19 shots but a win is a win, w'll take every point right now.
Klefa played 16.59. More icetime than Brodin 2nd night in a row.
Played alot of PK tonight again.
1 shot on goal. +-0.
He is very good at the moment, so calm. His confidence is 110%, u can really see it.
Awesome to hear! Very surprising that he's playing more than Brodin at the moment. I'm mostly just excited that he seems to have found a regular shift after bouncing back and forth between the junior and parent clubs.
Really nice to hear on Klefbom! Seems like a legitimate d prospect. Can't wait till he comes over to North America (which I suspect will be in the 2013-2014 season?).

I think the Oilers can buy out his last year, would be nice and then he can play at least a year in the AHL.
Hard to score points with the limited ice time he was getting. It's good that he is starting to get more minutes, hopefully that translates into some points.
Wouldn't it be better if he came over next year and develop in the AHL and get used to the North American game.
Probably not IMO. We did that with Paajarvi and in retrospect we probably shouldn't have. Defense is an even tougher position to play. I'd rather not rush him.

I agree with the other posters. Let him finish his current contract and then bring him over. Let him play an ENTIRE season in the AHL his first year. Only in his second year will he get call-ups. By the third year he will be a dominant 3-4 NHL d-man IMO.

Am I'm I missing something but didn't Paajarvi come straight over to the NHL and did not play his 1st year in the AHL. Get you facts straight. It would be better IMO for Oilers and Klefbom if he learn't in the AHL and play the smaller ice.

His contract ends at the end of next year so it sounds like you are actually agreeing with me.

Paajarvi came over 1 year after his draft, I'd prefer to see Klefbom come over 2 years later ala Lander. D usually take longer than forwards to translate their games anyway. OEL for example was more highly touted and he wasn't ready to be a major contributor until this year or 3 seasons after the draft.

I'd rather leave him in the SEL next year and hope he can develop his offense there. Then bring him over for a full year in the AHL. I`m on board with taking our time with Klefbom, and if we have to wait for three years to see him as an Oiler rookie, that's fine as long as he's the player we hope he becomes at that point.
Your optimism is a breath of Hawaiian fresh air....my current Manitoba frigidness does not have the same optimism. If one shows up for the show, that is great.

I see all 3 of them as NHLers in the long haul, their upsides are obviously in question as they are all wet behind the ears. Lander IMO will be at the very least a 4th line/PK specialist, Paajarvi if he can find himself will be a top 9 forward, and Klefbom while too early to say one way or another could be a top 4 defenseman.
