my only hope is that he turns out to be better than joe morrow. the kid REALLY wanted to be an oiler and now he's the best defensman in the whl.

We cant score......

Total shots 42-17 in our favor. 27-14 on goal.
Lost 2-0 away.

Klefbom played 15.56, 3 shots on goal, 1 wide. 1 hit. +-0.
Brodin played 12.22.

We almost had 9 minutes of powerplay in a row without getting any chances at all.
Klefbom and Brodin got to play some PP at the end of the game and that's when it got abit better, but still no goals.

Transfer deadline in one hour, doubt anything will happen tho.
And we just sent away Nygren, our best PP player on a loan to SEL-2...

thanks for the reports
very glad to see Klefbom playing some decent minutes lately...even more than Brodin

is there a reason for this? does Brodin get more PP time?

I actually don't have a clue why he gets more icetime. They are in the same D pair, they play PK together and none of them play reguraly in PP.

I'm not worried about his offensive production in the SEL this year. I saw what I needed to see in the WJC - which also didn't translate to much offensive production, but the kid has the full compliment of skills. Incredibly fluid skater, good size, decent physicality, good stick checks, big shot (including a heavy wrister). Whats not to like?

Won 3-0 against the leaders.

Klefa played 20.01. Beast! 2 shots on goal.
He has now outplayed Brodin 5 or 6 games in a row when it comes to icetime.

Now a 10 day break.

Beyond icetime, has he outplayed him based on what you've seen? I mean Horcoff outplays RNH, Hall, and Eberle so sometimes that isn't the best indicator of play

Maybe Pittsburgh trades Morrow for Hemsky and problem solved?

Klefbom has been our best D since WJC.

Won 3-0 away. Probably the best game of the season and a hattrick from the guy who scored 4 goals some games ago.

Klefbom also probably made his best game ever in the SEL.
He was a monster today.

Edit: I'll update soon with the stats. SEL is sooo slow when it comes to updating game facts, scores and such.

Thanks for the updates SouthSwe. Has Klefbom really been a monster and the best defenseman on the team or are you just blowing smoke up our collective rears?
If so, that's terrific news considering the fact that Brodin is on his team and is a heckuva prospect.

He played 18.54 tonight. 1 shot.
More icetime than Brodin for the 8-9th game in a row.

And yes, Klefbom has been our best D since WJC. No mistakes, so incredibly calm and is always on the right spot.
He and Brodin is securing the own half. Ur never worried.

Klefa has also started to get quite some icetime in PP the last 2-3 games. The goal will come soon.

Great to hear he's doing so well. At this rate, it is possible he will be ready to step into the NHL already next year, though they should probably take a slow approach and keep him in Sweden for 1 more year, playing upwards of 20 minutes a night.
