I'm not worried about his offensive production in the SEL this year. I saw what I needed to see in the WJC - which also didn't translate to much offensive production, but the kid has the full compliment of skills. Incredibly fluid skater, good size, decent physicality, good stick checks, big shot (including a heavy wrister). Whats not to like?
Thanks for the updates SouthSwe. Has Klefbom really been a monster and the best defenseman on the team or are you just blowing smoke up our collective rears?
If so, that's terrific news considering the fact that Brodin is on his team and is a heckuva prospect.
He played 18.54 tonight. 1 shot.
More icetime than Brodin for the 8-9th game in a row.
And yes, Klefbom has been our best D since WJC. No mistakes, so incredibly calm and is always on the right spot.
He and Brodin is securing the own half. Ur never worried.
Klefa has also started to get quite some icetime in PP the last 2-3 games. The goal will come soon.
Great to hear he's doing so well. At this rate, it is possible he will be ready to step into the NHL already next year, though they should probably take a slow approach and keep him in Sweden for 1 more year, playing upwards of 20 minutes a night.
