3-3 in OT.....going to a shootout.

Anton apparently made an awesome save to keep it even with under 20 seconds.

Bruins win, Arniel and Camper score in the shootout.....Anton stopped all but one.

Just got home from the game ... Sat in the same seats I owned season tickets for 6 years ago

P-Bruins had no business winning this game... They played like crap most of the time. Untimely line changes and all around uninspired play. They are a hot mess.

Suave was invisible all night. Hamill made himself stand out by hogging the puck whenever he got it ... Bartkowski was terrible and seems to have this weird nervous twitch while watching the play ... Not sure if anyone else has picked up on this? Arniel was average. Our D overall is highly overrated ... Pray we don't have injuries in Boston because by in large the Providence blueliners are career AHL'ers at best.

To the positives .... Khudobin is the real deal. If he had any sort of D in front of him he'd be leading the league in save %. Guy truly is the Russian Thomas... Never gives up on a play and comes up huge against the odds. MacDermid is the other guy who stands out to me as being NHL talent (and NHL ready, for that matter). Tough as nails and smart with the puck. A definite Thornton-esque player...

Heading to the game Sunday as well ... Will report back then.

This is too funny.

Kind of ruins the credibility of the previous post though, when you are ragging on a guy for being "invisible", and he's not even in the lineup...sweet.

I thought Hamill looked very good tonight, skated good, and made smart passes in the offensive zone. Bartowski made a couple poor mistakes. Jerseys tonight we're so much better then the whites. I saw Paranormal Activity 3 after the game so I am having a tough time remembering stuff that I planned on posting. Oh well, good win!

I had only one beer...

Best I've seen them play in a long time, actually when they were down 2-0 I thought they deserved better, overall very entertaining up and down hockey

Randell v Gogol fight was borderline epic , both landed some good shots, Randell landed 2 bombs and not sure how Gogol was still standing, the Gogol kid is one tough ******* also plays the game a little like Marchand did back in the day.

MacDermid v Mashinter fight was quick but decisive for Big Mac, thought he was a little off at times and even a half step behind but did score , did play on the PP and did his normal PK duty, was the third star

Bartkowski- made a couple of mistakes but was by far the best P Bruins D-man all night, made decent passes, joined the rush at the correct time ,positioning was very good, overall I was pleased

Hamill- must of watched the Turcotte school of stick handling video before the game cause he tried getting thru the Worcester team by himself most of the night, he had a good game, he has NHL quality hands but his overall body strength is still poor, one play where Bodnarchuk brought the puck along the boards deep, while holding off a Worcester D-man was able to keep possession around the Worcester net passed to an open Hamill who tried to do the same thing but was flattened to the ice like a starfish, full time NHL duty won't happen till he fixes that

Arniel- normal game for him, skated hard, showed hands of stone during the action but when given time during the shootout was deadly, still say he replaces Paille next year or sooner

Bodnarchuk- played more like his 2009 season than 2010, good to see him playing at a high level again

Cunningham- another one that was hit or miss, did some good work in the O zone but lost his guy in his zone a few times, made the easy pass for the second goal

Cohen- looks good in uniform, has a decent slap shot, can make a nice stretch pass tape to tape but is a gong show on defense, yet they keep sending him out shift after shift....

Miller- had 2 brutal turnovers, one that lead to a goal, usually steady eddie back there but was shaky all night

McKelvie- did his business quietly

For the others, Ridderwall had a nice goal and game, still like MacKinnon and would like to see him moved up a line, Camper made some plays here and there but really gets swallowed up due to his size, old pro MacDonald was solid again.

Sauve is hurt, hope its not his wrist again

When I said "invisible", I meant that I hadn't noticed him. Had I said "he sucked", then I would be ragging on him. With all the know-it-all's in these parts, surprising that nobody could put that together.

Sorry ... I took in my first in-person game in 5 years and had a few beers with some buddies. I'm neither a scout or on any team's payroll , nor do I pretend I am, so that's ok, right?

Looking forward to the game tomorrow. If anyone wants to chat, I'm in 109 row C, seat 4

At the end of two its 2-2.

Goalies:

Kari St. Laurent- made 12 saves on 14 shots in that period
Justin Pogge- made 5 saves on 7 shots in that period

PP-0/2
PK-4/5

Portland is really playing well, and we got a break on the Arniel goal (missed the first by Chaput)
