Already a prospective group of players on the Wolves for next year. I may be late to the party, but I'm really starting to like this site more and more with each visit.

Hrm. Tochkin penciled in would be nice. They are going to need some size down there.

Terrible news.

Chicago plays the veterans and has the sole purpose of winning the meaningless-cup.

Done. Well, technically last year. It was a two year AHL deal.

Meh, he really hasn't impressed. He REALLY didn't impress both stints he was with the Wolves (plus, the concussion he got last spring knocked him for a loop, was never the same). And I don't know enough about Taffe to make an opinion.

Big Mike decided that the money (and a five year contract) in Europe was better. He was very personable, but couldn't puck handle for *. As for Noah, he's one guy who I WANT to see return to the team. Did his job without being noticed, which for a defenseman is a great thing. There is rumors that a similar player (and former Wolves d-man) is coming back, Nathan Oystrick. Between the two, they both play the same style game... I'd take either, but I'd lean towards Welch.

Absolutely, hands down, we're going to accept this Vancouver prospect with open arms. And cry when he gets called up to backup Luongo.

This has been myth-busted many times, and yet still gets spread around. There's a lot of blame as to why the prospects "didn't develop," but it certainly wasn't 100% the Wolves.

Someone mentioned it either earlier in this thread, or in another thread, but 100% of the Wolves games are televised in the Chicagoland region... giving CBC plenty of games to pickup for their AHL hockey broadcasts.

Hrm... wonder if there's an easy way to get that stream in BC.

That came out wrong. I meant to type "with Tochkin there we will need to ADD size"

The Canucks are obligated to provide a minimum of 12 players to the Wolves and they'll sign the coaching staff as well.

Young said the Wolves and Canucks will collaborate on which players will be offered contracts to beef up the Wolves' roster.

“I'm actually coming to Vancouver on Wednesday and we have a wish list of guys who would be depth players for the Canucks but would spend the majority of their time with us,” Young explained. “The new relationship is going to be fun. It's new and it's exciting.”
I wonder how many players the Wolves are keeping from last year. Could we find ourselves in a position where we have players loaned out to other teams and scattered all over?

One guy in particular that I'm really curious to see up at the next level is Archibald. I hope he gets a crack at the Wolves.

Here's elite prospects guess at the Wolves roster:
http://www.eliteprospects.com/team.php?team=94

Forwards from Canucks:
-Anthony
-Archibald
-Rai
-Rodin
-Schneider
-Schroeder
-Sweatt
-Tochkin
-Volpatti

Forwards from Wolves:
-Doell
-Haydar (not there but I think he's likely)

Defense from Canucks:
-Connauton
-Ellington
-Erixson
-Polasek
-Sauve
-Tanev
-Tommernes (My guess is Tommernes makes it and Tanev sticks on the Nucks)

Defense from Wolves:
-Matheson

Goalies:
Lack + whoever

They need to add a couple of top 6 AHL forwards (I think Giroux and Taffe would be useful)+ a couple of big grinders, a couple veteran D + a backup Goalie.
