Stewart is a little surprising, but still a pretty underwhelming duo.

OK, kind of surprised. 22 pts and -5 on a bad Isles team. Not great, but not bad. He was a solid college signing, still a nice back pairing guy.

WHAT? That can't be right. The guy scored 21 goals last year! 46 points, and was +8 while playing Right Wing on a Blues team that missed the postseason! I WANTS ME SOME D'AGOSTINI!

Cats did not give 22 year old Michael Repik a QO
AHL
09/10 - 60GP 22G 53Pts
10/11 - 53GP 11G 45Pts

Get him for under a million and he could be a decent project for us

Far, far from it. Rebuilding means there's a lot of spots up for grabs.

And agree with Fuhr, when I saw Repik wasn't qualified, first reaction was that he would be a decent project prospect.

this thread explains it well. You cannot sign any players until July 1st. So all those RFAs are not available. sorry people.

I agree as well. I always liked his game and he just needs some confidence and consistency.

Well let's see.

Spezza
Michalek
Alfie
Regin
Foligno
Filatov (2-way)
Greening
Smith
Neil
Butler (if we do sign him)
Condra (if we do sign him)
---- Zibby perhaps? but doubt it

There could be 2-3 spots that might be available depending on a few prospects' contracts. Did I miss anything?

Where is the Ottawa news? All I could find was that they didn't make offers to Cody Bass, Ryan Potulny and Jason Bailey.

Wait, so what's the situation with Butler and Condra? Why in the world would we not qualify them?

Anyone below Foligno does not have reserved spot, including Neil.

Neil most certainly does have a reserved spot. Suggesting otherwise is just wrong. That is line saying Cowen is going to take Phillips spot. It isn't appening.

According to "on Frozen Pond"

Quote:
Everywhere I have read says that Michal Repik is RFA as well yet some with the Panthers say he isn't and thus doesn't need to be qualified.

Have been trying to get confirmation from Mike Santos for the past hour or so.

Read more: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapa...#ixzz1QWNxblP0
Remains to be seen if Repik will be a UFA or not I guess.

I don't see Murray letting either one of these guys go unqualified.

A qualifying offer only gives a team right of first refusal and draft choice compensation if they are signed to a contract by another team. On the other hand, making a qualifying offer gives the player salary arbitration rights, which GMs may wish to avoid.

So while team haven't offered QOs to some interesting players, it is not a foregone conclusion they are really available, or available at bargain basement prices.

Haven't seen anything official from the Sens, this was on Twitter

Apparently no qualifying offers for Jason Bailey, Cody Bass or Ryan Potulny.
