Seriously? It's Powe!
So I guess we're stuck with Shelley, eh? WTF is going on with Homer?

3rd round is a good value for him.
Man that guy has called a lot of these moves. I'm guessing they're shopping Hartnell/Carle too, form what he posted.

Hall would be a great replacement. I guess Powe wanted too much money?

Hate to see a good Pk'er with great speed go, especially one with a cheap contract that throws his weight around, but a 3rd rounder? Damn.

If we really need another pker, Sjostrom is available and will make about the same as Powe (maybe less).
When FA opens up we are either going to get a player, or let one of the young people (Holmstrom, Testwuide, Wellwood, Read, etc) fight for the spot. Hope we go FA though.

I guess i really did need the
at the end.
But in all honestly, Powe is worth that third rounder. He's a terrific player, and should of come cheap too. I'll miss the skating freak

We need to start stock away draft picks seeing as we will be sending 4 firsts to Tampa for Stamkos on Friday! Good move good value for Powe.

Hopefully they sign an effective PKer in free agency.

Umm, this site doesn't like posting the link to other hockey sites... Especially since this one had heavy rumors of off-ice stuff.
But same guy who was calling the Carter/Richards trades.

I guess he asked for to much money, it took last year half the summer to get him signed.

Simmonds barely saw any PK time the last two years.

Simmonds had 30 seconds of PK time last year. Total.

Sucky, I always liked Powe. His speed was fun to watch. Good luck to him!
This team is going to be unrecognizable by October

Yeah he clearly has some close sources with his track record, its pretty much undeniable at this point.

Peace Powe. It's been fun.
I think it's a mistake to consider these players either/or.
Unless Powe had insane demands, I think this was ill-conceived.
I guess it means either Shelley or Carcillo aren't going anywhere

This paves the way for the Flyers to inevitably trade their 2nd round pick in 2013 sometimes this week

As it now stands Richards is gone and now Powe... and Carter when needed has killed penalties well... Betts is great but has been out of the lineup on occasion through injury.
Giroux is a real fine PKer and Versteeg kills... I find it odd with the roster pretty well set that they would be looking to a Phantom to fill the spot... bu with Powe now gone I suppose someone will have to replace him that is a real good penalty killer... Something must be up; this now leads me to believe that Homer is no finished and maybe more tweaking is in the works... or a big move is being prepped for with minor moves,
... But I really believe the PK is not "fine" as it now stands with Richie and Powe gone, even with Simmonds now on board.
