St. Louis was let go by his draft team. Also maybe back then teams had less of a fear of drafting undersized players compared to now.

He seems to go to the front of the net. Doesn't seem to be those smaller, speedy guys who use their speed to score because they're way faster, but once they face real competition their speed doesn't help them anymore.

Yes, this signing of Brodeur 'could' end up that way - just as the $2 Loto-Quebec scratch ticket that I bought recently 'could' have provided me with $50k or a Carribean cruise (it didn't!)

If there is room under the 50 contract limit, they'll sign him. If not, he'll likely be signed to the ECHL affiliate to have a year long tryout and go from there. No harm in taking a look is there. A longshot, but we are due for one to finally pan out....right? right?

Well it looks like we are going to have at least one pay out since Desharnais looks like he's going to be a full time NHLer. In the last two seasons we have had Desharnais, Engqvist, Nash and Trotter all play for the Habs as undrafted FA's so they finding some talent.
