That's because he was gone from our hearts when he went to Springfield.

Wow, I must be psychic or something.

(I think it's the rankings of Florida, Ottawa, Phoenix, Edmonton, and especially the Islanders that make me facepalm.)
Let them throw their stones. We'll be laughing at them from above the line, a place where none of those other teams you mentioned even have a chance at sniffing.

Did anyone else see vogelhuber on the Espy awards? One of his Miami Ohio Team mates was nominated for best college athlete and one of the highlights showed Trent feeding him a nice pass

Yeah, they were having some technical difficulties at the start. I joined right as they were trying to diagnose them.

GMSH just said that there are "opportunities" and talks under way with agents to try and find a Huselius replacement/fill-in and that they'd like somebody established before they have to fill the spot from within.

Realignment question.. Pardon me I'm on Gin and Cranberry, so I'm feeling good and impacting my typing... Scott in encouraged that the NHL is open to "larger realignment" and they are working hard to move in that direction.

Scott seems to think we are moving in the right direction on the arena issue... He states there is "movement".

I want to buy a six pack but the seats are not ideal and last year the rep flat out refused to let me pick them.. Although it would be nice to get a crack at playoff tix (knock on wood) before the rest of the general populace

I hope so, it was a fun little session.. But it was only interesting on the Howson side. The player side was stuff like "what superstitions do you have" or "how did you pick your number" or "do large crowds really impact you". Fun stuff to list to, but not all that important. There was also a question on travel.

Please tell me someone asked who they would be playing with.

It was an interesting call. Nothing earth-shattering. Both guys seem excited about the season.

The comment from GMSH that was most interesting to me was the idea of RJ on the line with Nash and Carter. That idea never really crossed my mind since there is no true "playmaker". But I am intrigued by the idea of a passer/shooter(Nash), a shooter(Carter), and a garbage goal guy(RJ).

5 on 5, I think I like the idea of Vermette. But on the PP, that could be impressive.

They did not comment on Wiz. GMSH did say something about Carter, Nash, and RJ. He generally said that he was looking for chemistry between 2 players(ie Nash/Carter) the rest of the line was up to Arniel.

I'm on the Nash-Carter-Brassard bandwagon, even though I can definitely see Nash-Carter-RJ.

The best part was that Rimer wasn't all that annoying.

Fans were excited by the moves this offseason, as they should. A lot of optimism heading into the season. No one really thanked ownership for the money they invested long term. Oversight I'm sure.
