Sign Brian Elliott to minimum salary?
Elliott was not signed by Colorado. Does Ottawa sign him for a 1 year deal?

Hopefully not.
I seem to remember him ignoring the media in Ottawa after he got traded. What did he expect?

The only reason to sign him would be as the starter, in order to nosedive us to Yakupov.

I'd be perfectly happy to have him back, not sure he would be, though.

No thanks... That bridge was blown up a while ago.

No he can't win we need someone that can take a 10 game stretch and win at least 5 games if Anderson was injured.

Why?
I don't believe that he had any impact on being here, has potential to be appreciably better or was missed. Not only that, he may still have some misguided dreams of becoming a starter... which is obviously never going to happen here now.

Guy's confidence was already shattered. Pretty sure going back to the team that gave up on him won't help.

Yeah, lets sign him to a 3 way
NHL, AHL, and my home league, maybe he can play goalie for our team

I was one of the people that supported him way too long, I always thought he was going to turn it around and become a decent goalie - but he pretty conclusively showed last year that he won't. I think we are much better to turn the page and try someone else

The guy is mediocre at best. I can't understand what anyone ever saw in him - wishful thinking, I guess. The guy has no starter potential, and if we are looking for a backup goalie there are better options out there.

I would rather see Jakub Klepis come over from Russia and play in net than have Elliot back

Elliot had his opportunity with the Sens. I would pass on him.
Went to high school with him at Newmarket High, very nice guy. I hope he finds success elsewhere.

I love how Fuhr will probably not be posting in the thread
But seriously, no thanks. And the conspiracy theorist in me can't help but surface a little seeing as Colorado didn't re-sign him, supporting my point that they went out and got the worst goalie available to tank properly.

Q: Do you seriously think anyone wants to see him back here or he himself would return?

It would be clear sign the Sens are aiming for a top pick next year.

Ridiculous notion. Why is it the second any former player becomes available inevitably we see this type of thread or suggestion? He's gone for a reason.

Honestly I'd rather sign Leclaire if that is the case. If not just to see what kind of creative ways he can go on the DL from the bench.

Absolutely not. That bridge is burned.
