Sigh. No. You move forward, you move forward. You don't do that by bringing back guys that didn't work out and were recently moved. First a Lalime proposal, now this. Why do people want to sign ex players with negative baggage?

Elliott wouldn't be the worst back up, but I feel there are many other better options out there for a backup goalie.

Elliott still has potential in my eyes, but he was rushed, and forced to be a number 1 when Leclaire repeatedly went down and it killed his development.

He did win 13 in a row or something like that at one point. He just completely lost it last year. No clue what happened because before that, he was a very capable back-up. He would not be last on my list, but I'd have to hear a lot of no's from other goalies before I got to him.

Please no. We don't need him losing any more games for us and blaming it on 'slippery ice'

We're rebuilding, let's move on.

This.

Let's call Dominik Hasek to see if he is available while we are it!

This. Leclaire's durability killed our goaltending the past few years.

I think there are better options available to back up Anderson. See poll on that topic on this board.

I would prefer Auld out of that group as I liked him when he was here before........

But seriously, no thanks. And the conspiracy theorist in me can't help but surface a little seeing as Colorado didn't re-sign him, supporting my point that they went out and got the worst goalie available to tank properly.
hopefully lando and siemens bust big time and Z and Larsson develop properly. just a little bit of karma thrown in the proper direction.

Not only was the Brian Elliott bridge burned, but the Avs organization made sure to take a huge, steaming dump on it's ashes.

Where the Brian Elliott bridge once stood, there is now a feces-smeared pile of debris, unfit for use as even basic fertilizer or landfill.

No.

Are you crazy? Anyone that voted yes is not a Sens fan. He is the worst goalie in the league. I would make a pitch for him ONLY if we want to finish last again.

No.

I'd sign Leclaire at 1 mill., though. Bad luck has to end sometime right.

Right?

Yeah. Probably not.

Better yet, some posters in this forum were using the argument that a) Elliott would only improve as he gets older since that was trend in the minors and as we all know, stats and trends never deviate, and b) Elliott would our own version of Ryan Miller.

I'm proud to say I was in the minority on that one. I never liked Elliott. Never have, never will.

I am an unapologetic Radek Bonk apologist and defender though, so I suppose you'll have to take my comment on former Sens for what it's worth.
