From Bill Meltzer...

Quote:
"A source close to unrestricted free agent center Michal Handzus confirms that his former team, the Philadelphia Flyers, may have the most interest in acquiring his services. There are several other teams interested in the veteran, including another Atlantic Division club. In his now-expired contract, Handzus made $4 million on the cap. That figure will go down, even with several clubs interested. His final destination may not be determined on the first day of free agency."

I was just told that from someone outside the organization that the #Flyers are likely going to sign Michal Handzus today.... 10 minutes....
Also do not want.

Handzus is fine as long as it's cheap. No more than $1.5 AAV, no more than 2 years. Which means he'll get 5 years $18M

Despite being slow he's still one of the best on the PK. With limited even strength time I think he'd be a diamond in the rough for you guys.

I guess everyone here forgets how awesome his hair was. He will be signed for that alone. Don't question Pauls thought process.

Faceoffs was likely a consideration though he struggled against San Jose.

I think you are possibly misunderstanding what "diamond in the rought means."
For the record I'm one of the few here apparently that likes him. I always have and would like him on the PK and the 4th line

Depending on the salary, I woudl love to have Zus back. Perfect PK guy especially with Powe out.

Probably, sorry about that
I think he'd be a great value signing, where most contracts signed today will probably be disasters.

Agent Matt Keator says he hasn't had a call from Flyers on Handzus.
That was from Bruce Garrioch's twitter.

I like the idea of Handzus returning so long as it is cheap. He'd be an ideal third line center in my opinion.

Why not blame the "journalists" that said the deals were done?
