There's no accountability in reporting these days. Especially sports reporting. Doesn't matter if you post 1000 wrong rumors or trades, as long as your false reports sell papers, you keep your job. Heck, even if you don't sell papers, most of the time, you keep your job (as long as you don't use a dirty word or something like that).

Well, depends how good the source is.

He's not the only one. He tweeted it and then all the CSN people jumped on it and said it was done. Which at worst is equally irresponsible, there were reports even before 12pm.

I didn't mean to hijack this thread, but we've kinda already gone over this...I was already a Kings follower, my username has been "97FlyersKing18" since I created an account after years of lurking the boards because of my loyalties to LA because it is where I grew up. The 97 stands for JR, the only reason that I started liking the Flyers in the first place and 18 stands for Richie because he is my favorite player. In the balance of my time I have allowed myself to spend on following the NHL, after the Mike Richards/Jeff Carter saga, I am now following the Kings more closely and the Flyers less closely, but that doesn't mean that I have zero knowledge or interest regarding the Flyers. I would appreciate the "quick witted jab" posts to cease, as I feel that I can still positively contribute to the Flyers board like I have been for over 2 years.
