A one year deal gives Bonino a year to prove himself. Otherwise, he'll hit the curb as fast as you can say Ryan Carter.

Alright Boner, there's some stiff competition, but it's time to stay up, or limp your way back to the AHL for good.

Still a little optimistic for him. He's shown signs of offensive instincts on the passing side. He definitely needs to work on his finish.

Has his best chance yet to really break the roster, I still think he has the tools to be a #3 center one day but he hasn't put it all together quite yet, he was very solid defensively in his games last year, so perhaps 4th line center could be his ideal position.

Probably up against Macenauer for that spot.

If he goes up and down too much that might cause him to explode.

I'm hoping for the best for Bonino. Atleast we get a good AHL center out of him.

Still very high on Bonino. Like how he plays and with his hands the production will come. IMO his major downside was his skating but that's something he can improove. What I really like, well call me crazy, how he articulates. He seems to have a good head and when you look a players how they talk, well, IMO the well spoken ones get the track more often than not. Of course if the toolset is there. Thats a reason why I still like Holland as well and why I would take him over players like Kassian in a heartbeat. Sounds strange I know.

Back to Nick, like I said, skating seems the main issue with him. He will anchor our 3rd in a year or two. I can still imagine McMillan-Bonino-Cogliano next season. Could be a good line.

If this kid can improve his face-off ability and generate some offense he'll stick around for a while. He wasn't out of place at all last season defensively but was completely infective in the offensive zone. If he can improve that he'll be a solid two-way player for us.
