I didn't want to alarm you guys, lol.

He's a very good 2nd pairing defenceman who brings excellent offensive skills to the table. He's got grit. He'll play with pain.

But expect defensive braincramps. Especially if he isn't paired with a reliable partner. He has a tendency to run around, he arguably cost us 2 games in the Bruins series by doing so.

You don't want him going up against the Sedins or the big Anaheim line or Thornton or Toews and Kane, etc.

Anything that ***** the Wings is A-okay in my book. Make it happen Howson. You might actually save your job after all.

Don't worry, we don't have anyone that we want to match up agains the forwards you listed. Why would we change that in the FA market? I didn't even want Hejda matching up against those guys.

Sadly our best option is Methot...

You didn't alam us (and by us I mean me). Tyutin, Clitsome, and Russell alarm us.

Nothing we aren't already familiar with. Regardless, if this gets done, we have some options for another D man and won't significantly overpay.

So with the addition of Hejda, we need another shutdown defenseman, IMO. Montador? Trade Russell for that kind of help? We need a guy to play with Wiz, and Tyutin isn't that guy, and two guys for a shutdown pair.

Tyutin-Clitsome

That's how my boy Howie rolls.

Ideally, we still need a top-pairing guy, but this is very encouraging.

CBJSprague24's Log of Places He Was When Exciting CBJ Moves Have Gone Down Since June 19th:

-Todd Richards hired as Asst. Coach- Had no internet
-Jeff Carter trade- Was at beach, no internet.
-Wisniewski's rights acquired- Stormy day, didn't get to sleep night before until 3am, was taking nap.

Gang, I'll be at a NASCAR race Friday night, so if GMSH makes a big UFA splash, expect it to be after 7pm.

Seriously, I'm excited to see how this plays out, especially if the quotes from Rimer are true (as I'd expect them to be).

Well the biggest thing is that even with all those defensive problems he's better than EVERYONE we have on our blueline right now. Also lets not forget that a trade for a #1-2 D-man is likely in the works.

I'll probably get torched for this, but I think a veteran like Jovanovski might fit on a short term deal. I would arrange that lineup differently.

Tyutin-Jovanovski
Methot-Wisniewski
Hejda/FA-Clitsome
Russell

I think Methot or Hejda would be Wiz's best partner on D. Thanks for the insight on Wiz Marc The Habs Fan.

Good news train is rolling through CBUS!! Get this done under 5 mil and Scott Howson is looking good in my books. Just need one more defensemen and please resign Hejda, he was bothered with injury last season if i'm remembering properly. Go Jackets!

Does this put Ehrhoff totally out of question now? Not to change the topic or anything. I like the trade a lot. I've wanted him and glad we have a chance to sign him. I hope we atleast get a White or someone else, this what I think were looking at.

Methot - Wiz/xxx
Tyutin - xxx/Wiz
Russell - Clitsome

I think Hejda is gone.

Where-o-where to find the cash... We'll probably be @ 50 million after we get a goalie. That doesn't include Commie.

RT @CBJ66: @Aportzline odds of signing? / I'd say 80-20. He seems excited according to @joshrimerhockey, and Howson doesn't waste picks.

All this begs to ask, WTH did you piss the last 2 seasons down the drain? Did the anesthesiologist finally show up?

2 seasons ago we were coming off the playoffs, why change a team that made them?

Then we heard for a season from the fans how it was all Hitch's fault and that the team would play better with a different coach. Why change the players if it was all the Coach's fault?

He had a plan that he believed in and was seeing through. It didn't work. You disagreed with it. Here we are.
