This signing is a freaking steal. DW's really treating us to an exciting and optimistic offseason.

What is the difference between a 2 way and 1 way contract?

Last chance for Ginner. This is his shape up or ship out year, IMO, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go the way of the Goc. I hope for his sake that he puts it all together and has a good year. In the meantime, this cap number is fantastic.

Hopefully he can stay up with the big club, pot a few goals and provide endless amounts of entertainment. I like this deal.

Glad to see McGinn get another shot. I expect him to impress at camp and replace Gooch...yes, I think he can and will pot 20+.

No. Waivers is related to the experience/age of a player, nothing to do with their $$ salary.

(Check out the CBA FAQ on the BOH that even has a table showing the age a player signed their NHL deal and the number of games/years a player is exempt from waivers.)

And McGinn will be subject to waivers this coming season.

I believe so, too. I hope he comes in and has a good camp and finds chemistry on a line.

He has a great shot, just doesn't have many chances to use it.

This myth will never die, no matter how many times we beat it with a stick and dump it in a hole and bury it in 20ft of manure.

Just repeating what the org does. They are announcing their intentions. Of course they think they have fudge cake on the plate and then someone offers them double fudge and oh well. They don't do that too often. It usually isn't because they find the answer from within.

What is really funny is that the Rags started that thing on undrafted college guys with Gilroy. They aren't doing so well with him either. Making ELS's three-way is a mechanism that realistically protects GMs from themselves. It is also the split contracts like Moore's that are there because the players have caught onto the game of GMs playing grass is greener. This is their way of making them pay. For lower end older guys like Moore, they could get paid more in Europe than the AHL.

No I didn't miss it, I was just taking the opportunity to point out the fact that no matter how many times it's explained someone will still believe it.

I wonder if they have Mcginn, Desjardin,Mccarty, and MAC pencils into 10th-13th forward spots, wit the aim of filling 7 and 8 in fa. could also be planning on only one of the latter two as an ahll guy.
