HFBoards TOP 80: Forwards #19

Please try to be objective and not always vote for players on your favourite team.

Presently, who is the best forward in the NHL (from the list), or who would you want for next season only (independent of: injury/injury proneness, salary, etc)?

1. Crosby 76%
2. Ovechkin 58%
3. Datsyuk 60%
4. St.Louis 27%
5. Malkin 35%
6. Stamkos 46%
7. D.Sedin 32%
7. H.Sedin
9. Zetterberg 21%
10. Getzlaf 26%

11. Perry 26%
12. Thornton 26%
13. Parise 22%
14. Toews 26%
15. E.Staal 30%
16. Kovalchuk 30%
17. Iginla 22%
18. Kopitar 28%

Next to add: Eriksson, Hossa, Ryan, Stastny, Hemsky, Lecavalier, Sharp, Spezza, Alfredsson, Duchene, Tavares, M.Koivu, Roy, Briere, Krejci, Bergeron, Ribeiro, Havlat, Kessel, Cammalleri, Plekanec, Stewart, Franzen, Pavelski, Clowe, Williams, J,Staal, Brown, Backes, Callahan, Lucic, Benn, Doan, Elias, Tanguay, Savard, Horton, Hejduk, Whitney, Skinner, Couture

Went with Kesler, but it's going to be close, considered Brad Richards and Rick Nash as well.

Add Lecavalier.

People who recognize that a Selke winner whos coming off a great playoff and 41 goal season is pretty damn impressive.

Kopitar is off btw.

Kesler scores more goals than all of them and is probably the best two-way forward in the league it really baffles me that Jonathan Toews is much higher on the list, Kesler and Toews are equal offensively but Kesler is better defensively, Toews may be "clutch" But so is Kesler.

Not really, since you said 2 way forward not defensive foward, it's very easily Datsyuk.

Datsyuks offence>>>Keslers
Kesler defense>=Datsyuks
