Considering that there are some who believe Jeff Carter was traded because he bought a beach house in Sea Isle City against the team's wishes, I have to believe this rumor is really just a lark concocted by somebody with a wry sense of humor.

Wasn't Stamkos' agent still having discussions with the Lightning yesterday? It doesn't add up.

He's an RFA. The only way he would know for sure that Philly was planning on offer sheeting him, and that he wanted to come here, is if Philly contacted him. That's a HUGE no-no.

No he wasn't....he just bought a new boat down there and his house is not "boarded up." I am pretty sure he will be keeping the house as well.

I've read Carter isn't sure if he will be keeping the house or not. When asked about keeping it he said "I love being down here. It's definitely an option."

Actually, philly can talk to stamkos agent as of now and make an offer.

Stamkos/agent just can't officially accept till July 1.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the fact that Carter was in hiding for 5 days after the trade.

I feel as if we're all getting excited despite the obvious, he's most likely staying in Tampa.
