Odjick Vs. Probert: The Heavyweight Battle that never happened!

I just finished reading Bob Probert's book and loved all the insight he gave on other fighters, but was disappointed there was no mention of my personal favorite Gino Odjick, i was surprised to find after checking that the two never tangled?
why? they both played in the west and at pretty much the same time?

who would have won? i think i'd have to say Probert but it would have been a hell of a battle

The two are my favourite fighters ever, that would have been one hell of a battle!
I think they never met because one or the other was suspended by the league when their teams player against, then Odjick started to be an injury plagued journeyman on the east coast and the two never had other chances I think.

Back then Probie was the champ, while Odjick (91-94) was top 5 for sure, even top 3 at a certain point.
I can only dream of a prime Odjick battling THE KING in what it was probably the toughest era in hockey (with all due respect for the 70s).

I would go with Probert, however not to diminish Probie's contributions to the NHL's fighting lore, as he was one of the best of all time, maybe even the best fighter the NHL ever saw. He did have an unfair advantage with him losing his equipment/shoulder pads/jersey during his hayday. When the NHL went to the tie down rule he was far less dominating in fights.
